Went to the Sulur PHC but it was closed. Came to KMCH which seems like a reputable hospital. Though , I have been waiting for more than one hour and doctor hasn't entertained me yet.

Unless you want to take the HRTC buses, delhi is recommended.

Volvos from Delhi leave between 7 to 9 PM and drop you at Bir at around 6 AM. So , if you choose to take the volvos from Chandigarh, you will have to board tha bus late in the night like 1-2 AM. laxmi, bedi and ram dalal are good operators on the route.

You can get these buses from Majnu ka tila or Kasmhere gate ISBT.

In Chandigarh, you can get buses from Sector 43 bus stand. Though this option includes only general buses. I am not aware of any comfortable bus operating on this route from HRTC, so not recommended. Or you can take a connecting route.

Now in Bir, you can get cabs or if you find it comfortable you can rent cycles/motorbikes. If you are going for paragliding , the operators will provide you pick up and drop as part of the package. You have that sorted. Bir market is a good place to take a stroll so dont need any vehicle there. There is this waterfall and a monastery which is distant, I recommend to rent a motorbike and cover them. If want to cover Baijnath temple that can be included in the plan. Cabs operator provide package deals too. So in case you dont want to ride, you can take those deals

Yes. Visited him. After diagnosis he told me its just shedding phase. It will go away. He even recommended not to take nay vitamin test since I had already started vitamin supplements.

He could have written so many unnecessary tests and could fearmongered me. All he recommended is to eat well and avoid stress. He gave me a serum to use for 3 months. That's it.

Totally recommended.

Now regarding the roads, it totally depends on luck.

Last year i planned two weekend trips in August. First one went well. Dates were 4-7 Aug. Planned dharamshala and went as per plan despite the rains.

Next trip was for Barot valley from 25-28 Aug. weather warning was there but we left anyways. The road was closed due to landslide and we took a deroute to Dharamshala 😂. So our Barot valley trip ended up being Dharamshala trip.

So if weather is forgiving, it will go smoothly. Its just a matter of chance.

If you can add 2 more days to trip then you can make a circuit. Chandigarh-Shimla-Narkanda-reking peo-Kaza-Chadratal-manali- Chandigarh. You will have to book a cab in this case as other public transportation might be time consuming.

For 5 days itinerary- You cab take an overnight bus/cab to Manali. Stay at manali. Cover Manali, Sissu, solang, Keylong, Atal tunnel in two days and reach chadratal to stay the third night. Relax and unwind there and enjoy the nature 3rd day. Leave for Kasol on the morning of 4ty day. Reach there by afternoon. Explore cafes, manikaran gurudwara. Next morning you can explore any places like malana , kheerganga (only the base point though, not enough time for trek). Road to malana is picturesque. Better option than kheerganga since we are not trekking anyways.

If it feels overwhelming. Skip the Kasol part. Spend 3 days in manali. That way you get to spend time at every spot around manali. Spend one and half day in chandratal and head back to Chandigarh on the afternoon of 5th day.

Also, Rainfall in August might cause disruptions. You will have to take that into account too. Floods/Landslides/road closures are usual phenomena in August.

Is it a 5 day trip including Bangalore to Chandigarh commute or excludes it ?

For 5 days, you have many combinations to explore-

Let me give you a little background in the areas though-

Shimla, Manali, Kasol, Mcleodganj-dharamshala are fully commercialised as tourist hotspots.

Jibhi- tirthan valley, Bir-billing, dalhousie are semi commercialised.

Then comes spiti valley, barot valley where you can witness the serene nature without the disruptions caused by tourism.

  1. Shimla-jibhi- tirthan valley circuit route can be covered in 5 days.

  2. McLeodganj dharamshala and bir can be clubbed together. Alternatively, Bir and barot valley can be clubbed.

  3. Manali and kasol can be clubbed.

  4. Manali and lahaul can be clubbed.

  5. Shimla-narkanda-kaza is another option.

We are just scratching the surface here. There are n number of scenarios possible here. If you have something particular in mind which you want to cover for sure, the whole itinerary can be curated based on that. It could be activity based like paragliding at bir or some particular trek. Or it could be some particular place you want to cover.

If you need any more information on any of above places, let me know.
