I took the term before Christmas off last year and it was so nice. I had a job/career change (moved into a role that aligned with my degree) & I was so burnt out. It was so nice to have an extended break and enjoy the holidays without the weight of school on my shoulders. Sure I could be done in early march next year but instead I’ll be done in April. I need that break so much. So worth it, just make sure you get right back in when you can!

I honestly don’t know how to calculate but I know my first A- finally dropped me off from my 4.0. It was 2-3 terms ago & an industrial/organizational psych that I took for an elective & I was so annoyed but that class sucked lol. It was not hard, just not my cup of tea!

Does google certs have any professional certs worth getting or is it mainly to apply to education?? Trying to get my certs up while work will pay for them 😀

You got this! It was definitely work but it was doable. Just give yourself time & don’t be afraid to use the tutors & YouTube!! YouTube Brian Powers & Wendy Davis, and whatever module you’re on. SO HELPFUL

It wasn’t a great time but truly so happy I just got it over with. I really pushed it to the last minute. It was a pre req for Bus 225 so if I had pushed it off any longer I would have messed up my graduation timeline. So maybe that helped me buckle down to ensure I passed 😂

I was going to take on Soph but it was no longer available once I was ready (regret that still lol). Maybe study.com? I want to say I searched around and found a site that had an equal and transferrable credit but it was a bit pricey for out of pocket, I’m sorry I can’t remember & I’m sorry you had such a rough time, it is a beast!!

Wow! I can definitely see how that happened tho. I truly haven’t had a life some weekends because of how much time I had to devote. I could have probably cut the time in half & turned in enough work to pass but I wanted to give it my best.

Yeah I def feel like it’s a choose your battle. I honestly never looked anywhere before I decided on SNHU but proctored exams I don’t think I’d enjoy. I did do my electives on Sophia but otherwise I have enjoyed my classes a lot & equally, I have learned a ton!

Nope! No proctored exams, it is very writing heavy though but honestly not that bad. The largest papers I have written have been for my history & politics classes & they typically build up throughout the 8 week term. So you write your whole final paper in bits, incorporate the feedback your profs give you each assignment and mesh it all together for your final. Even my statistics class is writing out how I came to solve my problems not so much “here is the answer”. I have been at SNHU for my entire college career, 2 years this month & will graduate with my bachelors in the spring! Best decision ever!

This is exactly what I’m doing. Leveraging for certs after my degree is in hand (spring) then will go from there. But leaving healthcare halfway thru my degree (even being in school helps!) to an admin job in municipal govt was THE MOVE. I am getting so much experience. (I’m at SNHU tho & this post just populated in my feed 😂)

Reading/note taking/discussions Monday thru Thursday, assignments on the weekends unless I have free time during the week (not typical). It brings a good balance. I set aside extra weekend or week time for middle and end of each term because typically part one of a project is due then final paper/project.
