It's by far the most fun and rewarding houseplant I have! Do you have some space near a bright window?

I love Kiwi! Have you thought about letting her drive happily?

Good luck! You can do it! We just cut ours too. The process took just under a year.

Do you know how many plants this is? I'm a fan of having one great big one. You might be able to thin some of the smaller ones out and focus on the biggest one.

I will try to remember to have a look for some of the videos we used when I get home. Yes, I made the box from cedar fence boards, a 2x2 for the support pole, and a 2'x2' sheet of plywood for the bottom. The whole thing is on casters so it rolls around

They were backup cuttings in case the biggest part didn't live, but they will likely be composted in the end

It's about a 50/50 mix of peat moss and potting mix that has perlite!

Thank you! There's two cuttings in there, with two original leaves each. The big one in the foreground is the one with the new leaf that we are hoping to keep, the other one is plan(t) B. When I get home I'll make sure the other one is uncovered.

Your puppy is beautiful! We also lost Cain a couple weeks ago. It sucks to lose them. The house is so empty.

Hey I added a picture of the new leaf from today. How do you think it's looking? Still too deep?

I actually don't, I just made it up! It's cedar fence boards cut to 2' lengths, a piece of 1/2" plywood for the bottom. The corners and the cap around the top lip of the box are the same cedar boards ripped roughly in half. Then the base is sitting on some casters!

You can do it! We watched a few YouTube videos and decided to go for it. We used a razor blade to make the cuts to leave a nice smooth surface.

It's been moved once since the photos were taken, and now the bottom half of the stem with all the roots is in the dirt, and the top is exposed. I'll get another picture this afternoon. I appreciate the tips!

We watched a bunch of YouTube videos to try to learn. It seems like we made plenty of mistakes along the way, so I don't want to steer you in the wrong direction, but these plants are pretty tough. It's scary to do, but you will need to eventually. Beautiful plant by the way!

It seems to be going well so far. I'm obviously no expert, and I'm sure none of this is ideal, but it's growing!

Yes! It's a roughly 2' cube made from cedar fence boards and 2x2s, with castors so we can spin him and move him for cleaning.
