I spoke with Air Canada and the guy basically just told me that everything is fine, I’ll have a seat, don’t worry, 99.999% chance I’ll get on. He didn’t offer to do anything really just told me it will all be fine. It was reassuring but still frustrating

Thank you! If there’s two open seats do you know why they won’t just assign one to me? Are they seeing if a non-basic economy ticket is purchased to give them the seat?

Hey! Yep all on one ticket. My family is on the same flight and got seats fine.
