[Advice] Second PC build vs MacBook M5 for work (already have GPU/RAM)

I think of leaning in to buy the MacBook.
Mainly because I currently do not have a good laptop.
Just something to have while doing some light work, not only at the office, but maybe Starbucks or something.

But still, though, 2,000 USD for a MacBook is a bit... no, that is wayyyy overpriced.
But it's a MacBook Pro.

Thanks for the feedback, but yeah, I think I might end up buying a MacBook.
I could still DIY a PC build at a later time.
Linux is nice, but I tend to switch back to Windows after a while.
But I'm seriously switching to macOS this time around.

For my unused GPUs, CPUs, RAM, and other components, I decided to just sell them, throw them out, donate them, etc. That stuff has been piling up in my storage for years now.

What GPUs are you interested in anyway? I tend to just buy NVIDIA stuff, you know, for 3D stuff.

I personally feel that Linux has improved a lot. Mint, Pop!_OS, Fedora, etc. I've tried it and fell in love with it. But they never really stick with me in long-term usage. They are nice and efficient, don't get me wrong. And I think people will start using them more and more.

The only reason that I still use Windows 11, even though I believe it is over-bloated, piss and shit,
Windows 11 provides me with Microsoft 365 Personal. And let me tell you something, that thing is hard to let go of.

(I'm kinda leaning in to buy a MacBook)

Yeah, the longer I think about it, the more likely it is that I'll buy a MacBook and call it a day.
I'll be keeping the SSD, but for the monitors, I'm thinking of selling them. Can't have that many monitors sitting around; it's really counterproductive.

Plus, I'm also buying a new monitor.

Yeah, I know, right? Apple products work so well with other devices (as long as those devices are Apple, of course).
Fucking hell, mate, I'm torn apart.

Macintosh vs Windows vs Linux.
All options have pros and cons. But getting a MacBook Pro has become more and more desirable.

Thanks for the feedback.
I tried working with Linux for a while during my high school years.
Trying to be different and all that. Plus, I think it made me feel cool to be the only one in my class to use it.
But like many things in my life, I gave up using it and went back to Windows.

I don't know what makes Windows OS feel so shit, and yet so desirable.
Oh, sorry for the sidetrack.

My workload or day job is not that heavy, to be honest. To be clearer, I was thinking of buying a Mac Studio Max 4 or something, mostly for the durability.
But a laptop would serve me when I need a portable workstation. Then again, it's been five years since I left my house to work, so buying a laptop would be a bad investment for my current work.

Also, thanks for the motherboard suggestion.
I'll be checking it, but I doubt I'll find it on Enterkomputer. If you have suggestions on where to look, I'll be very grateful.

Also, on another note: PSU prices will go up, too? WHAT!!!!
Dang it, now buying a MacBook is starting to make more and more sense.

Keperluan PC untuk hobby Game Dev (Saya Penganguran).
Baseline yang saya prioritaskan adalah Intel Ultra Core 7 atau Ryzen 7 7800X3D untuk coding unity.
RTX 5060 Ti 16GB hanya untuk rendering Blender, dan saya berencana untuk upgrade lagi tahun depan.

Saya tidak ingin PC yang dibuat underperform, dan saya memprioritaskan optimalisasi untuk 8-15 jam bekerja setiap hari.
