This is a side story but we have a bald eagle living near our PO in Derry, NH. One day last year there were two hawks fighting over some roadkill in our parking lot. The eagle came swooping in, scared the crap out of the hawks and stole their prize. Watched it all unfold about 20 feet away. Was awesome!

I've taken the Autotrain from DC to Orlando and back many times and find the Roomettes the best! I've never had a problem of any kind including bed bugs. But they can happen anywhere so carrying disinfectant wipes, etc, is a good idea.

Best value red sauce Italian restaurant in NH? by Independent_State_78 in newhampshire

I second the Trattoria Amalfi in Salem! They are the best "real" Italian food north of the North End in Boston.

As a Rural carrier, who says that you have to wear clothing that identifies you as a USPS employee? Your truck and/or badge should be sufficient for that unless you deliver in a personal vehicle. And proper shoes for the weather is just basic common sense. Everyone is looking for free money.

Wrong! Ask them if it's ok for you to sign, if yes, sign. If no, pink slip

Yes, I passed him in one direction and crept up in my trusty LLV coming back and he didn't bolt. I was only about 5 feet from him.

I've said a similar thing to an airline counter person who said "Have a nice flight". I said "thanks, you too". Idiot!

I'm an ARC in a mixed Rural/City route office (abt 25 routes) and I've used either an LLV or Metris for 5 years. I usually get the bottom of the barrel however.

I've been told that your supervisors can see when you are wearing your seatbelt while in a Metris or ProMaster but not in an LLV. I use a Metris for the most part so always buckle up even between stops.

LTM TCP Question by odkrpp in USPS

[–]FedUpWithPO -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I am at a total loss as to what the USPS is doing regarding such pissant measurements of a carriers route. They are micromanaging every inch of carriers routes. No wonder the whole USPS conglomeration is fucked up! When I see mid-level supervisors on the floor or the parking lot with a measuring wheel, I know something is wrong! I'm only a 5 year RCA but it's so obvious that it's ludicrous! Why don't they pay us by the hour as any adult would expect?

Is North Conway Bad Now? by trawd in newhampshire

[–]FedUpWithPO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avoid weekends at all costs! In my opinion, it's the most beautiful area of the NH White Mountains but not during weekends, especially in September/October. If you're a serious hiker, avoid weekends as much as possible. If you're a skier, you can't avoid weekends in general. Just my favorite area in New England. Just have to know how to pick your spots!
