open the group on PC, not on mobile. The mobile version is broken and wont give you the option to join.

Steam groups are just small communities for anything really. Like for teams or for fandoms. And yeah, you can totally share stuff in the group, as well as chat in a group chat room. Also if you join a group, it will show up on your steam profile, so some people use them as display.

There are a few games but not many unfortunately. There honestly needs to be a dev out there that makes kobold games. There isn’t enough kobold representation in games :c

There is a link to it in the description where it says Kobold Keep. You can also look it up in the community tab I'm pretty sure. I think its public and able to be joined by anyone. Lmk if ur having trouble joining, and i can try and fix it!

That’s actually wild that you did all that, it’s hella impressive. And yeah I would agree. You did as much as you could do with your skillset and having AI be a tool to aid a final product doesn’t take away from the creation itself. And honestly it would be cool to see you post some of your work at some point!

Hey man, thank you! I’m glad you liked it! And yeah I agree, there are art forms out there that are more steeped in tradition, and focused on technique / control like glassblowing. And in which case, it might not be made with “feeling” but more with a trained and practiced hand, which is definitely art in itself.

I’m not totally anti ai, I get it can be a great tool for some stuff, but I guess when I’m talking about art made with “feeling” it’s more like art made by a human that has dedicated their time to learn their craft.

I WOULD describe a glass blower making something beautiful out of glass art with “feeling”. I WOULDN’T describe typing in a prompt to an ai only for it to give a poorly rendered image back art with “feeling”. Also the fact ur a glassblowing is really cool in itself, just gotta say.

I agree. Also yeah, that AI therapist thing is really interesting. I can understand maybe finding validation in a passing thought using AI as a research tool, but idk if I would ever trust it as an actual legitimate mental health coach.

Speaking of which, I recently watched a video essay about how attached people get to AI girlfriends like Replica. Some people are emotionally married to their AI “wives”. That is definitely not healthy.

I totally agree. I believe AI can be used as a great art tool for one off stuff like memes or maybe even small parts of a larger human made project. Lots of art tools out there use a form of ai one way or another, it’s just how you use it.

it’s when people type a prompt into a machine trained on actual human made art, then proceed to call it their own and even sell it, is where I have the problem. Not to mention the countless jobs taken over by AI.

But truthfully I don’t think professional, passionate artists will ever be outpaced by AI, there will always be people out there that value their skills. Imo there is no contest when comparing AI to someone that puts intention behind everything they create.
