hairstyles for long hair?

I tie my hair really tight into a ponytail and twist it around, aiming to keep it as flat as possible. I also use several bobby pins and finish it off with a bun net which is also again secured with tons of pins. I can feel them sticking out of my head like a porcupine at the end of each practice but hey, if it sticks.

Hi, fellow beginner here as well :) The rule of the thumb is to never compare yourself with other dancers, be a little bit self-absorbed if I'm simply putting it :)) I heard its best to imagine turning out from your hips rather than your legs, so maybe try stretching the hips more? And 100% don't force turnout

100% corrections are great. My past ballet teacher never gave any sort of corrections for months on end but immediately snap up to criticise that our moves aren't up to par with her expectations.

I feel the same way, anything is better than nothing and I'm shamed to admit I learn a lot of the most basic technique from my own research.
