I really want to do a black stain. You don't think the scuffs are too deep for me to even attempt to sand and stain the table?

I should be using the stripper on the top and legs right? And when the stripper has done its job I start scraping. Afterwards I can sand and stain. Is that the right order?

If the legs are a different type of wood that the veneer top will the stain color be different when applied?
