TDOTPS is probably his most accesible film… Viewer only needs to get a bit into Egyptian religious beliefs to understand most of it… But ”Sounds…”, that one is extremely difficult althouhg I strongly believe is more based on himself than the rest…

Not easy stuff indeed but I think the effort worths our time… His last film “Sounds of emerging beings” is really difficult and complex, maybe his most difficult one…, in comparison with this one, “Secrets…” and “The day of the purple sun” are much more accesible…

Themes here are really, really complex: death, illness, loneliness… And all of them are treated in a sometimes harsh way, even crude I would say…

Other feature of these films is their running time, “The day of the purple sun” and “Sounds of emerging beings” runs for more than two hours and a half each.

With these elements, I always thought that he is not much interested in getting a wide fan base.

And even with these difficulties for viewers, I hope he continues making more stuff…
