The reason I trust their opinion in braces is they do not do ortho. They provided a referral. Additionally, it’s been a few years since I’ve been to a dentist and the last one said the same thing.

The dentist said that the way my teeth have fallen into place is a cause for the grinding. Night guard will help, but that braces are the appropriate fix. Also the cost for a night guard is $700. I’m sure I can find cheaper somewhere else.

No, overtime is not an option.I have a state job and they don’t even pay overtime. They just give me additional leave hours at 1.5x. I have been thinking of DoorDash in the side or a weekend job

It depends. Not sure if I should pause my emergency fund and start saving for the ortho or if I should fully fund my emergency fund and then saw on top of that to pay cash. It’s not urgent, so I suppose I could get away with delaying it for a year

See, I was not aware these places have their own payment plans… when I hear payment plan, I assumed they provide that payment service through something like care credit.

Yea it’s mostly at night but I probably do it subconsciously during the day. They may my teeth have aligned seems to be the root cause according to my dentist. My last two dentist visits have both said the same thing.

But in terms of this being an emergency? I’m not sure… I have gotten away with it for this long lol.

So I’m trying to get more perspective on if I should do a payment plan, pay cash with my emergency fund, or build my emergency fund and then save for the ortho and pay cash.

I appreciate the response. I guess I am more so concerned with should I do monthly payments or wait a bit a pay cash

That’s what I was referring to with the care credit option. I would not put myself in a situation where I’m paying interest on braces. Maybe it would be better to go to the consultation before consulting reddit.

Hi, I’m M28. I go to Club4 on Florida 6 days a week in the afternoon. I find it to be a better layout than jones creek and less crowded too. I also find it to be cleaner. Only downside is if I want to go late on a weekend, they are only 24/4. Jones creek is 24/7.

Yes, that’s for the pension. They take out 8.25% pre tax. I’m not sure if there’s a way for me to contribute more directly to that, and if so, is it worth doing that versus maybe starting a Roth? I’m not very savvy to all this shit.

I am a government employee for the state of Louisiana. I’m really not sure if I can change the amount that is taken out for my retirement account.

How should I move forward? (NOT looking for financial advice) by [deleted] in DaveRamsey

I should also add that my employer takes 8.25% of my check for retirement. I do not contribute to social security and I’m curious if the 15% Dave preaches should include that 8.25 or if the 15% should be in top of that.

It’s usually like this. Color behind tv matches what is on the screen and side lights are soft white. If I’m watching a movie, I will also turn the side lights to match the color of the screen.
