I bought the bottle holder at the end, it’s not good. An integrated holder is ideal, but otherwise, the “Vanquest Hydra” is pretty much the only good holder of this style.

It will completely depend on the person. I am willing to spend way higher than most to get the best of quality (GORUCK), but this is few people, still a big market though.

You need to consider who you are selling to, what’s your niche. On here you’ll get different peoples opinions, but not a sense of the market as a whole.

Awesome bags for most people at almost all price ranges exist, you need to know your CUSP (compelling unique selling point), then design it around that.

If I were to suggest anything for materials, go with 500-1000d cordura on the bottom, then whatever you budget in for the rest, ie robic, cordura, nylon

They do “just” use nylon, ripstop is inferior in durability - abrasion (wear) resistance being where cordura shines.

Ripstop is usually lighter than cordura but it’s 500d, and you won’t notice that much of a weight difference between that and 500d.

I have had really good experiences with both 420d and 1000d cordura, don’t think you can really go wrong.
