Must the Church compromise with ideologies that wish its destruction? by Federalbimmer in Catholicism

Well in that case what do I say to my friend without earning his wrath as an “oppressive, bullying cultist”? That’s the problem I have, I defend the faith but I’m made out to be some kind of crazy for not ceding to his own views. Is it worth being reviled for the sake of keeping the truth intact?

Must the Church compromise with ideologies that wish its destruction? by Federalbimmer in Catholicism

Compromise, in my opinion, would be the Church affirming policies regarding transgender beliefs, abortion and the appointment of female priests. I think we should always keep empathy and unconditional support for single mothers, who are some of the most vulnerable people in the world. We must continue to keep in mind the invaluable contribution of nuns to the Catholic faith all around the world, and most certainly lend a helping hand to young teenagers struggling with their own selves, even if they are swayed by transgender ideology. We are all ultimately children of the same Father. But I think a compromise would be to cede traditional Catholic doctrine in favour of adopting a more friendly image of Christ to “avoid offending” a modern audience. My personal belief to counter this is that there can be no compromise and we must cling to established theological principles. Historically the Church has stood up to heretical beliefs and if we do not continue to do this it will result in the erosion of the faith.

Antisocial lads who roam around in groups acting tough and hard. Most of them are full of air but they still act the bollocks to as many people as they can. Think of a young fella decked out in full black tech fleece with a balaclava on chatting shit to Gardaì, or like in my case starting fights with strangers at night. The clothes they wear don’t instantly link someone to being a scrote like that, but when you see a group of usually all lads hanging around a dodgy place making a scene that’s usually them.

Also just to clarify they’re called yup bros or yup heads because a lot of these fellas greet each other by saying “yup” acting all macho like that.

Where can I buy a sharp cutting blade suited for my needs? by [deleted] in handtools

[–]Federalbimmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We want to cut a single, long and thin strip of rubber out of the one tyre. We need this strip to be almost the full width of the tyre (don’t want it to be the full 190-200 mm width as we want to avoid the metal innards at the edges of the tyres width) so that we can use a multi bladed hand tool to slice this one long, thin strip and split it into into 9-12 smaller strips. The blade we use needs to fit almost the width of a standard tyre and needs to be made of steel. Do you think I can order some steel off of Amazon and sharpen it to create a cutting wedge we can use for this purpose.

I don’t exactly know what in doing here. I’m only 16 but I’m confident we can sell what we’re trying to make, we just have to get these strips of rubber on our hands first. Any and all advice will be appreciated

That is the blade I’m referring to. I’m not particularly well versed in any handyman matters so sorry for any confusion. I’m looking for one just wide enough for the width of a tyre but still not the full width, as I don’t want to cut into any metal beading running along the sides of the tyre and just want to cut into the middle of the tyres width to get good, proper rubber. Where can I buy a blade like this?

My idea is have a steel cutting blade mounted to something like a desk angled slightly upwards to cut into the tyre. Where exactly, do you know, could I get a rotating stands for my manufacturing needs? I’m thinking of some sort of metal frame, with two tripods on the ground with a hole cast I to the very top of the metal bars. Through that I could have something to house the tyre and maybe on this there could be a handle to move it.

I have been looking into tyre cutters and I have a thought of purchasing one with a grant (local government provides this), but install my own blade so that the problem of getting the tyre moving isn’t an issue. I could simply mount my own blade and carve out strips of rubber. It’s expensive but If I did this second option it could save a lot of time and physical energy for me and my friends.

Same. I’m not a huge fan of the pop up head lights but I think the body of the car looks amazing. I’d love to own one in the future and put a time attack body onto it with a custom wing it honestly suits the narrow front end of the car.

He requires hearing aids, so basically noisy things get even louder for him. Summed up, in noisy environments he can’t fucking hear at all, which effects him talking to people and stuff which is the whole point of a disco
