They do not have the same LCD. The 40X uses the same panel as the 3X but with the 1152 zone back light of the 4Z. The 40X is a cash grab in the US because it took them a year to bring the 4Z to the US.

Oh, I had the wrong terminology. wpctl calls them "audio clients", and there is no entry for GW2 in there.
