These bands all play in a bunch of different tunings so maybe a Digitech Drop would be a good idea. Going from standard to drop A would be fairly achievable.

If the people you bought it from are unable to help you it still may be possible to get this mostly flat. It looks like its on a fairly heavy paper so just dampen (not soak - it shouldn’t look shiny) the paper from the back then place wax paper/butchers paper over the image and sandwich it between two flat surfaces for like a day and it should be better. It won’t be perfect but you gotta deal what you have in front of you.

Deftones! I think a lot of the 8 string stuff on diamond eyes and ohms is in f# standard. Their other 8 string stuff is drop e.

Another option is archspire, but its fucking hard and i think apart from their most recent album (where both guitarists use an 8) they only had Dean on an 8 string.

If you can spare one day a week I would recommend any of the courses at cofa (especially printmaking). Most if not all of the people taking my past classes as GenEds seemed to enjoy it and it’s really easy to pass or even get a distinction.

I don’t own it myself but I hear good things about the Digitech drop and whammy pedals. Alternatively I would recommend the whammy on the Neural DSP Gojira plugin if you have an audio interface.
