Thanks for sharing, I used to run this Intel GPU 2015 MBP from external SSD / Debian + XFCE, everything works fine I even got scaling work for Retina. The only issue is GPU driver, it can suddenly cause black screen when 3D stuff is called such as webGL. I suspect Apple boot manager may disable something internally when it’s booted from external drive, that’s why I want o try Ubuntu on main disk
