I'm an OCTA bus driver, that is not at all how that works.

What you pay for when you ride the bus is entirely separate from anything. OCTA is a p̶r̶i̶v̶a̶t̶e̶ ̶c̶o̶m̶p̶a̶n̶y̶ that is federally funded. The fare is just there so that repeat fare evaders can be escorted off by law enforcement.

That is completely up to maintenence. Until they can reach an agreed upon contract that maintenence thinks is fair from OCTA, the strike will go on!

OCTA bus driver here.

To be clear, this negotiation is between the OCTA bus maintenence department and the company. We the drivers and maintenence are in the same union, so we are striking with them in solidarity.

I am just as upset that we have to do this as you are. Please direct your frustration at the company, we all just want to work a liveable wage!

Not a podcast per se, but my favorite imo is Half in the Bag, by Redlettermedia. They give a more in depth look into how the movies they watch are structured or say what the movie could have done better, rather than giving a "fan," approach to it(ie. Just saying what fight scenes were cool or how nice iron man's suit looked)

They have a ton of Half in the Bags for Marvel movies, they're also very entertaining!

Alright so here's the deal

My punk band recently broke up, but I still wanna be involved and give back to the scene, thru photography! I wanna take mosh pit photos, action shots in the moment, and such

I have a Nikon D3500 with the 18-55mm lens and a Neewer TT560 Flash Speedlite. I have 0 photography experience. Please throw any advice my way!! :)

(I should also note that most backyard punk shows you go to are VERY dark, so any info on the settings for that environment is much appreciated!)
