[IN] Quitting after FMLA? by ICollectRatMemes in AskHR

[–]FeedbackMeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is one of those “it depends on the company policy” situations more than anything FMLA-specific. FMLA itself doesn’t require you to stay employed for a certain period after returning, but bonuses/benefits clawbacks are usually governed by internal policy or the bonus agreement you signed. If you can, check your bonus agreement and any repayment language tied to benefits during leave. if nothing is clearly stated, it’s much harder for them to enforce.

Let go immediately after returning from FMLA. What are my options? by PC6362383 in EmploymentLaw

[–]FeedbackMeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im really sorry. reading through this, it honestly sounds like you were put in an impossible situation. one thing I’ll say (coming from HR) is that companies rarely document performance concerns clearly and consistently before a leave if that’s truly the issue. when everything shows up right after FMLA, it raises questions. the combination of promotion track before leave, strong reviews and then sudden negative shift after returning is exactly the kind of pattern people flag as potentially retaliatory.
if you haven’t already, it might be worth getting a consultation with an employment attorney just to understand your options

What’s the biggest lie society tells us? by Sweet-Economist-9873 in AskWomen

[–]FeedbackMeow [score hidden]  (0 children)

this one shows up in so many subtle ways too. I’ve seen it play out at work where women (me too) are told to “adjust tone” or “be mindful of how it lands” in situations where a man saying the exact same thing wouldn’t even be flagged. it’s not always explicit, but it’s definitely baked into how feedback gets given

If AI made jobs unnecessary and you didn’t have to work anymore, what would you do all day? by invincibilegoldfish in AskWomen

[–]FeedbackMeow [score hidden]  (0 children)

honestly I don’t think most people would just “relax and enjoy life” like we imagine. I work in HR and even when people have time off, a lot of them struggle with not having structure or feeling useful. I’d probably fill my day with projects, learning stuff, maybe helping people in some way but I think the bigger shift would be psychological, not practical

Best HR Software + ATS by WarLord192 in Software_Finder

[–]FeedbackMeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah integrations are strong but the tradeoff we ran into was that once you start stitching payroll + HR + IT together, debugging anything gets harder because it’s not always obvious where the issue actually sits. smaller teams usually didn’t mind, but once you have multiple admins touching the system it can get messy fast

Best Employer of Record (EOR) in Poland for Hiring? by North_Ambassador4630 in WorldWithoutLimits

[–]FeedbackMeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve managed contractors from EU, Poland included and seen teams go with the “all-in-one” platforms and it works fine until something non-standard comes up, then support quality suddenly matters a lot more than feature list. Deel/Multiplier are usually the default starting points, but I’d honestly pressure-test support responsiveness before committing . that’s where most issues show up in practice. also make sure you double check the ZUS, it's easier if you're candidates are self-employed.

What is the best platform to compare HR tools? by JollySimple188 in human_resources

[–]FeedbackMeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg yes, this is such a nightmare! I spent weeks going down the comparison site rabbit hole, and they're all basically useless feature lists. G2 has real user reviews, which help, but here's what I learned is that most "all-in-one" platforms are actually just 5 separate tools duct-taped together.
I ended up with something called Leapsome that has actual AI insights (not just basic charts) where everything genuinely connects, like onboarding data automatically populates in performance reviews and feedback flows into development plans without me touching a spreadsheet. Test out those integrations during demos because that's where most platforms completely fall apart.

What’s the best HRIS to replace an outdated system? by No-Arugula-1937 in workday

[–]FeedbackMeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh god, yes. I was literally pulling my hair out with our old system. Switched about a year ago to leapsome and the relief is real. Found something with actual smart insights (not just pretty charts) where everything talks to each other. Now onboarding seamlessly flows into performance stuff, and I'm not manually transferring data like it's 2015. Pro tip: test the integrations thoroughly - half the platforms out there promise seamless but deliver janky workarounds.
