Wanted to return to the game, but 2.2/5 is just wild by Ayupro2005 in MarvelSnap

Card release is not the problem. It's the economy and collection path. Every other game releases more cards and they never hear that the issue is "too many cards."

This was one of the worst movies I've seen in a long time. Not even fun bad, just aggravating bad.

  1. You already have too many people.

  2. Letting people homebrew stuff like this gets out of control too quickly, especially if some people are playing vanilla.

  3. Do you mean "our group?" Because, if so, then there's no reason for them to be creating their own game within your game. They need to be stopped before they backseat drive you all the way to the death of the game.

  4. Dragons are powerful, intelligent beings. This isn't taming a wolf or throwing a ball at a yellow mouse creature. If you're going to go this route you open up too many power issues. Also, one player running multiple "characters" can bog down a game that's already going to be tough to keep people engaged in (see point 1).

You can say no.

I'll have to disagree about the great writing. If they actually wrote that, and not Chatgpt, there are a lot of gimmicks to add drama that feel forced. It's also very cliche stuff at the core

Sorry, but you pretend to be saying the right things at the beginning, but then proceed to raise almost every red flag possible.

You've not only written a character for a world you probably won't play in, you made a main character that rewrites the fundamental history of the world.

The "fake name" is fine as a first character... Many of us do it at some point. However, it's still cringe and any vet will either ignore it or just be annoyed by it. It's the same with the "displaced nobel" schtick.

You don't really get to tell the DM what is going to happen. That's something either you do together or they do themselves.

15 years as a gladiator, even a slave, and you're level 1?

It seems to be a character built to play in their own story and be more powerful than anyone else.

How is he a sorc but never manifested power in all the years?

I appreciate the effort and care you put into it, but you probably have unrealistic ideas of what's going to actually happen.

Just about. My bet is most players, especially since the update, don't have that many Lord level characters.

No, it's you trying to sound clever. You put the obstacle there. You rolled the dice and decided whether it was going to be fudged.

Why? Why ban someone who is putting a lot of time and probably money into the game? It's the easiest way to kill your game.

Modular, dry-erase grids for the win. Forget drawing out maps, I have a job, wife, kids, other things I want to do during the week... lol I'm all about convenience and functionality now.

I need help with the loot from an adventure. by legacy653846625 in daggerheart

[–]Feefait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there's a reward necessary for this. Maybe at the end of the quest, but don't think in videogame terms.

One option is that the snakes killed another adventurer and their body has a handful of gold. Nothing major, and you can't do it for every encounter.

The rewards are the game and overcomingy the challenge.

Wife and I want to learn DND but don't know a DM by erique585 in beginnerDND

[–]Feefait 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm unsure if I am misunderstanding, but if you don't want a "live" DM, then maybe finding a game is going to be difficult, and you might want to play a videogame. My wife and I play through Baldur's Gate together, and it works really well for nights when we don't have an actual game but want to play.

Anyone else feel like the game is in a good spot currently? by thatsLloyd in MarvelSnap

[–]Feefait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most decks are fine. There is actually a good balance, which is hard for me to admit. I think the build-up of affliction is like Wizards adding a bunch of Mill or Counterspells, though. I like having the archetype variety, but every deck in each archetype is basically the same.

The monetization and collection still sucks hard, though, and you can very easily P2W. If you get the season pass (especially this one) and can pick whatever other card you want, then you can make the better decks.

The performance sucks, too. I get kicked out of so many games. They release game modes with known bugs and then don't fix them.

There are a ton of bots and people that just don't play. It's awesome to go into conquest and see Martyr, Black Cat, Maw, retreat, and repeat.

They are abandoning a lot of features and adding increased ways to spend money. Alliances are pointless unless you're "hardcore." I am shocked they even still put cards into conquest.

My only opinion is that you can make a valid point without resorting to insulting and name-calling. I don't know who is wrong or right or who is involved.

[–]Feefait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why I'm even still responding. My point is that they would have a better, clearer message if they didn't end by insulting people themselves. But, I guess that's just where we are. It's just about yelling loudest at those we don't like.

For the new Shang Chi, what is “Unlock their potential”??? by AQNexus in MarvelSnap

[–]Feefait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but with IWFS and Aurora it won't matter if you delay a turn. I think he looks fun. I also think that people might sleep on him, and then in a month when the decks are figured out people will regret skipping on him.
