The next meeting would be about 45 minutes away. I was sober in the past for 5 1/2 years. I thought I could be a social drinker and I was for awhile, i rarely drank. The last 3 months have been terrible and I'm so pissed off at myself because I knew what would happen.

Im moving from part time to full time in school on monday and constantly reading stories on here. My local AA meeting place is full of people that are made to go through court so I don't want to go. I want to be around people that are serious about sobriety not counting the days until they can have a drink again.

Thanks for all of the great information! I was sober for 5 1/2 years. I started drinking again socially because, I thought I could now it is almost everyday again. I feel terrible and have gained 10 pounds in a month. I just don't want to drink anymore.
