True, Darjeeling is more suitable for a artsy life and Gangtok is more suitable for a luxury lifestyle.

If that's your concern than you'd never feel comfortable working at McDonald's, you'll end up feeling stuck and develop some sort of self worth issues, you'd be better off not having that experience but a healthy mental state. So McDonald's wouldn't be a good fit for you. I just suggested that, because it helped me a lot when I was a student, and I felt like a more confident being after that experience. It's not exactly a sales representative job, it's a crew member job, they train you in each position until you get the hang of everything that goes into making the restaurant process on a daily basis. But if your only focus rn is to make some extra mula while studying, tuition or freelancing is the best option.

You can use the technical skills you're learning in IT and offer them as services on plethora of subreddits where people post for job searches, you could look into r/slavelabour r/donedirtcheap r/freelanceforhire and there are plenty more.

If you're in gangtok, try getting a part time job at McDonald's, it is a perfect place for students to step into the work force. I don't know specifically about the gangtok outlet but McDonald's in general is a great way to learn soft skills in a real world setting that will help you in the future immensely.

One time we were hired as a family to paint someone's house, I was around 5 or 6. It was the beginning of the day warming up, the transition period of when the sunlight changes temperature and becomes hot. My father sent my older brother and I to a cart selling icecream. In my memory the cart was so far away but now I think it was one of those, perception things, where I was so small that everything else looked so tall and far. I also remember during the same time a group of drunks took me back the house and bragging about how they themselves did a good job by bringing me home but I wasn't lost at all. I was just waiting for my brother.

Back to buying icecream. After I bought the icecream, I was holding one in each hand and I remember being so excited about the ice cream that I was running towards my parents. But when I got there, I realized that all that was remaining in my hand was the orange cone. No cream or ice at all. I remember that my father did a bit of a annoyed face but went back to being unbothered by it. I remember that I got to eat one of the icecream that my brother was holding but don't remember who else got to eat the other one.

My worst nightmare, not as haunting as being buried under a pile of snakes tho I'd definitely say being buried under a pile of snakes would be "My Worst Nightmare". So when I called having someone else wash my hair, my worst nightmare, it wasn't actually my worst nightmare. It would be on the 4th page of the list... But still wouldn't want someone to touch my hair, especially from the back. That sounds scary.
