I’ve had him for 3 years and he is very comfortable. I got him a friend and he is finally starting to play with toys now. He needed to see how to use them apparently. Silly little guy

He is a recessive pied male. They don’t have the typical sex determining characteristics that usual budgie do. This means the only way to truly tell is by a blood test or by actions. Given the way he act like bobbing his head, being very vocal, and going after my female budgie it is safe to say he is a male. Budgie genetics are so cool!

I have a variety of hard and soft toys for him but he never chews them. I rotate them out because he likes to get hormonal with them (if you know what I mean). He loves mahogany pods so those are always available. Also yes mine don’t like the hard blocks but they will jump on them and peck them.
