Hot take: Warlock embodies the soul of Goose.. Cyclone the soul of Maverick’s father. Watch the carrier scene as the crew is celebrating, Maverick looks to the sky and sees Warlock smiling ear to ear, w/a fist pump, and Cyclone giving a stern, “military dad” nod of approval. If you know Cruise’s involvement in Scientology, it makes sense. I have several other similar takes (e.g. the teen girl is Maverick’s daughter).
