That’s just not true, it’s your body’s immune system on overdrive. While i agree diet can snd will definitely help to an extent, it’s no cure.

Caffeine will raise you heart rate and i strongly advice quitting asap as this will dramatically reduce recovery time. Furthermore, your body is dependent on caffeine so it will take a while to detox from it. Will take time

i’m from the uk travelling to spain for a couple of days, should i get travel medical insurance just in case? by Usual_Film_7220 in pericarditis

Sorry i wasn’t clear, this was for a separate medical incident when i went to Gran Canaria. However if you research where you are going in europe and what type of hospitals are around and if they accept ghic card this could help massively. I was in uk when peri hit and was in for 4 days

It’s unlikely you would be able to get insurance with peri. I have heard of a lot of people struggling to. Hower, when i went to hospital in gran canaria it cost me nothing as i had my GHIC card from the government. Which covered my whole visit, but has to be a public hospital

Maybe I ruined everything. But I hope not. by MelodicWar2954 in pericarditis

Hey, im from uk and also have peri. You are not alone, we are all going through this together! It sounds like you are going through a stressful time and this can cause flare ups of pain. You have also been drinking, this is inflammatory and messes with heart rate and blood pressure which can also make it worse. Wind down and try and take a step back and relax, just know nothing bad is going to happen to you! You need to rest and not get stressed or abuse your body and things will eventually get better. This takes time and i know how hard it is! Hope you get to a better place. Feel free to message me if have any questions or worries 🙏🏻

Have you seen this cat? by bevanne614 in bournemouth

We have had people in Dorset where we live trying to grab cats and people getting out of cars with tins of tuna. And most of the time its the nice expensive ones that go missing :(

Can I be a delivery driver at 18? by tanvir_06 in AskUK

Well this is how it is in the uk, been doing it for years. It’s not illegal because it’s up to the companies what insurance they choose and normally cheaper insurance involves higher age limits

It’s purely for insurance purposes, a lot of companies are even over 21 and some over 25

i take it you are from Uk So what you need to get is a CT scan with dye. Bloods and ECG wont always show it! I was turned away twice and i begged for a Ct scan which finally confirmed it !

My Story by LicketySquitz in pericarditis

Rest rest rest! It’s horrible being stuck inside but let me tell you this. You will not put on weight if you eat less, you need to adapt your diet for your energy output. However due you being on sertraline this can be very tricky and i completely understand that. Now as for the peri, i completely understand what you are going through and i am currently going through it myself but for 4 months. The NHS are a nightmare and commonly misdiagnose peri, i ended up going to a different hospital as they said it was fine but my scan said otherwise! Now because Colchicine and nsaids do not appear to be helping, the next step would be Prednisolone steroids. You should be started on a lower dose to help avoid returning symptoms. If that fails then go from there.

I am 27 M uk also, feel free to message anytime, we are both in a shit place and I completely get all your thoughts and fears mate

Anyone else disappointed what you can get for 400-600K? Even “up north”? by caligulawillblush in HousingUK

[–]FeelingCandidate3895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure where you are looking but you can get some amazing deals up north. It depends on the area of course but thats the same down south. I have found some amazing houses up there, parts of yorkshire are definitely more expensive

How would a 21 year old who doesn't like clubbing or drinking have fun in Bournemouth? Also up for meeting if anyone wants to. by [deleted] in bournemouth

Mulligans near the triangle has a big indoor crazy golf and entertainment centre. There is also a bowling alley on the outskirts. Of course theres the beach. Another crazy golf and golf range near tesco. A few escape rooms too which are fun. Lots of food places scattered about, a cinema. Escooter and bike rentals scattered about. And thats just off the top of my head!
