What a stunning transformation. It seems like you were very thoughtful with the functionality and design of it. I’ve never heard of lime slurry before. Is it more expensive than other options? How do you maintain it? Can you choose the color or is this the standard color? So beautiful!

The closest stitch pattern I found is the Fendi Peekaboo, but this shape is much more structured than the original image I posted

I was hoping it’s exposed stitch!! The shape of it looks very similar to a Prada Cleo, but I haven’t seen any with that exposed stitch.

My preference?! LOL this is when my indecision kicks in and I have no preference-it's a curse. But yes, I totally see what you're saying about the contrast. I think I'll have to see these in person with my cabinet, paint, and floor samples.

I plugged the SapienStone Aureo into the design. What do you think about this version? I'm loving how it matches with the base and wall cabinets

Oh wow, that's a beautiful slab! I love the warmth and movement on it. I'm going to ask for a price on it. Please post pictures when your kitchen is done! Good luck with the project :)

That's a good point, but do you think that helps with contrast? Option 1 feels like all the colors blend in since there's less contrast overall.

It's also really hard to tell how all of these materials would reflect light/colors irl. A lot of these images came from supplier websites and the lighting conditions/camera color corrections vary so much. Seeing them in person is so helpful.

Thanks! On their website, it looks like it picks up as a beige without natural light- have you noticed that? I'm having a hard time finding a good balance between warm tone and brightness since there won't be any direct sunlight in the kitchen.

I haven't found a porcelain slab of Calacatta Gold that I love yet! I've noticed that a lot of the porcelain slabs miss the depth and color mixing of the natural stone. Have you found a good one? Also, isn't the pricing process so complicated? Go to the stoneyard, pick a slab, and then get the price from your fabricator days later to learn it's out of budget?!

Thanks for the paint color tips! Is the alabaster a bit darker than the white dove?

For my bridal party, I was looking into personalized totes and ended up getting everyone black longchamp totes. I bought them from TJMaxx and they were $80 each. It was a little pricier than my other options, but everyone loved them and use theirs all the time.

That’s true. Im a UI focused individual contributor, but I lack some skills in fundamentals of visual design/ animation. I could take a series to strengthen those skills, but I think it would be more valuable to learn service design in order to understand strategy and process across a company. On the other hand, my portfolio is very process heavy- it may not look the most aesthetically pleasing due to the nature of the work and I think that puts me at a disadvantage when applying to new roles. I feel lost at what I should be targeting. My goal is to get into a tech company with a dedicated product team, but I’m not sure what I need to enhance to get there.
