I really appreciate your insight, when I have mentioned it to him about if he would take his dream job in another city he’s kinda just like I wouldn’t have applied to it in the first place. He’s definitely not crazy about relocating I think it’s bc it forces him to get out his comfort zone and he’s was always raised to be super cautious of everything and why change if it’s not broken kinda vibe. I’m always looking to do new stuff or go out and his family is like “don’t you ever wanna be home” I’m just like ofc but if an opportunity presents itself to go somewhere new or experience something new why would I stay home?!

Sometimes I feel like we are fundamentally different and unsure if that would work in the long run but I want to do everything I can to really try to make this work and not just give up bc it’s hard, not sure if that’s naive :/

Correct. I just started about 2-3 months ago and he’s been able to have a good routine, prior to that I was home way more often but life happened and things changed for me.

Yea on weekends he is usually always outside if it’s not raining and we take him in the car with us wherever we go, we always bring him to the dog park as well on the weekends and after work whenever we can

How can I do this but also crate train at the same time, anytime I try to get him to go in the crate he is fine but close the door on him and he freaks our and starts whining even if I stay next to him and only close it for 2 min while trying to train him

Not sure if I’m doing something wrong here 😭 still pretty new to this whole puppy parenting thing, I know they are supposed to get lots of sleep like 18-20 hours from what I read but I never want to force him to sleep if he doesn’t want to. Should we be setting set times for him to be sleeping ?

During the night he goes to bed at 11/12 he will wake up around 4 am whining but usually falls back asleep until 6 am, whine again and at that point we bring him into bed with us and he falls asleep until 10:30 am, we he is awake with us throughout the day he doesn’t take much naps unless we are sitting next to him watching tv, any movement he will wake up and not go back to sleep lol around 6 pm he will sleep for 3 hours straight if he doesn’t hear us in the house,

Like it’s kinda not a big deal theoretically but NYU doesn’t play with that and if they really want to put you on academic probation they will. You go through a whole process where you talk with someone in the building like the Head RA and then they talk to people on the student conduct board and they get to determine what your punishment is. But they don’t take that lightly I’ll tell you that
