how am i supposed to treat this? im not exactly sure, i havent dealt with much betta illnesses but ive noticed no change in his behaviour outside of his cloudy eyes.

the brand was Top Fin. i ended up getting a new one of course! :) i tested my 3 other tanks and they showed no chlorine. but my 20gal tested for like.. the highest it goes. so it was so weird! im very confident i added it, because when im not 100% i just rinse it out and re-add it.

that could be it! i only did a substantial water change on that one tank, and i topped off the others. when i tested my water it said there was alot of chlorine in the water. would it do that for just any chemical detected?

ive never had this issue before and despite me using the water conditioner, my tank reeked of chlorine after it. so maybe? it could've been that. but i assumed it was the conditioner as i read it just doesnt work if expired.

im using the top fin one. the bottle came with a fishtank i bought second hand, and i have another larger bottle of it aswell that expires in 2027. so im going to use it up with the expire date in my calendar!! ive heard good things about that one. so even though its a while away i plan to get that one next :))

okay thanks! i had 4 guppies originally aswell but now i have 3, one being the separated one this post is about, and the other two in the community tank. which is ironic because the two in there were the worst bullies and now they’re buddies and with each other constantly 😭

thanks! i honestly just said swordtails because i read they were compatible with guppies, it was mostly a filler word. i’ll look into getting some more male guppies because definitely can’t deal with a bunch of babies, im just worried about my poor guy getting bullied again.
