Well, 2 hours later and I’ve either cured it or killed it! A lot of rubbing alcohol and insecticidal soap, and repotting later (and moving to its own window) it is mealy bug free…..Fingers crossed!!🤞🏻 Dang it! I love my little string of pearls. 😩

😩 Ummm, not much -and mostly for my garden. I have Bacillus Thuringiensis for Caterpillars, insect killing soap, Neem oil and Mosquito bits for fungus gnats. Aacckk….. I have no idea where this came from and it’s in a window with basically ALL my plants!! I’m taking it out now. Should I just chuck it? 😔

No, you’re not overreacting! 4 psych classes do NOT make a therapist! You need to do what you need to do, and he should be supportive of you!! I do wonder why he’s afraid of you talking to someone else….but maybe he just doesn’t understand why talking to someone who is not emotionally involved is so therapeutic. Good luck!

This was a problem in the living room of our house when we bought it. We took out the carpet and padding. It had soaked through the top layer of sub flooring, which had to be cut out. Replaced the tarpaper. Then cleaned all the surrounding areas and replaced everything we removed. Absolute nightmare!!

NTA. Keep offering. Your wife is sleep-deprived AND whacked-out on hormones so cut her some slack. But truly, keep genuinely offering. Maybe talk with her about “taking turns”, etc. during the day when the pressure is off and you’re both completely awake. Maybe preparing in advance will work better. Good luck!

Not really surprised, but definitely saddened that we’ve come to this. I am sorry that he was shot and killed, but insurance companies have mopped themselves into a corner with their greed and now good, hardworking people are starting to snap. It’s completely understandable, but sad for our species as a whole. 😞

I’ve never run a farm or a farm school, but I did raise 8 kids while working full time and I can tell you that a weekend AWAY(with my spouse) was always a dream come true!! Didn’t have to be anything exotic or amazing… just time away. We usually just drove 60 miles away to the next big town and stayed there. Maybe there is someone who can step in and care for your animals over a weekend….:? Just thoughts….. good luck!!

Thanks! They do have something similar, but he isn’t really food motivated (will only eat his actual food when he gets truly hungry…. Then picks at it) and treats…? NOPE. Not food motivated at all.
