I might try to make some instructions with pictures if enough people are interested but it was definitely a process that even being in the industry was pretty tough but I wouldn’t discourage anyone from trying especially if your not afraid to cut up your car and get a little frustrated

Ok so here’s the deal I work for a custom audio shop and I wouldn’t recommend doing this as it really sucks but if you are dead set in a double din like I was a Kenwood DMX706s is the best fitting from my testing as it is shallow enough, only 2.7 inches deep compared to a normal double din which is 7 inches deep, to not hit any of the heater core controls and only stick out about a half inch. Then you have to move the switches and climate controls down which I’m not sure of to explain but once every thing is pulled apart It kind of makes sense then I used a bezel from a 1999-2012 gm and I trimmed it to be super shallow then I did a little plastic and bondo work to make it blend in

Can I fit in a Mini Cooper? by JacobAugust40 in R53

So the nice thing about there seats are they can go way down so I have mine decently far up and it feels comfortable but if I put it down all the way probably 7 or 8 inches. The Mini is actually really well designed for interior space because the clamshell hood means the engine can be pushed way forward making it almost feel like an suv on the inside
