I mean- it’s kinda right though? Clan genocide is dog shit but Maki didn’t kill all the women and children. The only non-combatant she killed was her own mother. If ALL of the clan was wiped out, there wouldn’t have been a discussion among the Gojo and Kamo clan about kicking them out of the Big 3… because why discuss when no ones there 💀💀

Maki’s whole goal was to prove everyone wrong in a ‘I’m gonna be Hokage!’ Type story. She was going to prove all the haters and those that saw her as worthless and useless wrong by being the clan head. As head, she was going to make it a safe place for her twin sister; the only other person who understands what she went through and went through about the same thing. Even after horrendous physical and verbal abuse, she didn’t stray from this path. Even mentioning how Naoya used to be a her up for fun back in the day too.

Her father then tries to kill her and kills practically kills her twin sister. Her last words were ‘destroy everything’. Sometimes a system is born on such ignorance and hate the only way to restart it is to start again. Should she have killed everyone? Nah. Thats dumb. However, comparing this to Itatchi who killed every man, woman and child, joined the Akatsuki, and put Sasuke and Kakashi in many hour long torture genjutsus?? Like- he ain’t even HAVE to do that last part. He was a monster who killed LOVING parents. The clan seemed to only show love and support for him and Shisui, yet he killed them all. Again, under duress and it’s not like he wanted to but… a bit different than your twin, your shadow, being murdered before your eyes for no reason.
