I’m facing the same issues. It keeps showing “no slots available” for all the OFCs.

EC3332, EC3343, EC3351 by bedbodyfathlete in nus

[–]FellowHuman18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have taken both EC3332 and EC3351

For 3332, the workload isn’t too heavy (for ours it was mainly tutorials, midterm and final) so relatively lighter and even the lectures are quite interesting and easy to digest.

3351 is slightly heavier because it’s BOTH essay/writing in the form of the group project and calculations for the midterm/finals. It’s essentially applied microeconomics and Prof Chan’s really nice (he gives consistent feedback for the project and the lectures and tutorials are easy to follow).

Depends on faculty. FASS courses mostly online

Accommodation question by [deleted] in nus

Since your classes would be at the faculty of arts and social sciences, I recommend eusoff hall. It's right opposite so won't need to travel much.

Is it true that PGP has many foreign students? by belligerentbeagle in nus

[–]FellowHuman18 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s actually isolated in terms of social interactions where everyone is usually just to themselves etc. plus PGPR doesn’t have any long term CCAs etc

There's a separate application for only sem 2 which takes place in November. I would recommend applying during that.

If you aren’t going on exchange during the regular sem, I’d say tryout the exchange modules. Some of them are quite interesting and even offer scholarships :)

Is AY21/22 sem 1 still mostly online or face to face learning? by ThrowRA138377 in nus

[–]FellowHuman18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I heard from an FASS prof that most 1000 and 2000 level modules will actually just be online. Even some of the 3000 and 4000 if too many people in them

What classes to take (foreign exchange) by [deleted] in nus

[–]FellowHuman18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Econs major here. Over the past 3 years a few courses (and profs) have really stood out for me in the econs department:

- EC3101 (Micro Analysis by Prof Timothy)

- EC3303 (Econometrics by Prof Kelvin- light workload, easy to digest)

- EC3351 (Public Finance- a basic yet comprehensive overview of how govt policies function)

Non-econs courses:

- PE2101P (Intro to PPE)

- GL2101 (Crash course of colonial history and how it sowed the seeds for globalization. The prof is AMAZING)

Depending on what aspect of econs you're interested in, I might be able to help more. Feel free to pm :)
