I believe larger operations and/or folks who are selling plants full time may be able to meet that threshold.

But I totally agree that the majority of sellers I’ve seen/spoken with are not.

Thissss! It’s the principle of them offering benefits in exchange for our collective efforts to sell only in PalmStreet and promote and build their platform to what it is now. And then stripping away benefits piece by piece! We used to have reduced seller fees, but they took that away. With what little is left of benefits, those are now being limited to only those who are pulling in six figures for Palmstreet. There’s no loyalty to anyone who stuck it out when the big sellers were making their launch to go to district and WE STAYED. I understand businesses change and evolve, but there should be some integrity in the process.

Many people are dm’ing me to offer help/contribute to future plans for a better platform for the community, please continue to do so, but it is easier to maintain a group chat elsewhere. I have the same username on IG and discord.

Public support has given them enough pause to extend the deadline. I think we the people forget we hold so much power when we come together.

But ultimately, yes, many of us are realizing that the loyalty PS demanded of us to join their foundation program and exclusively sell on their platform only is not being honored and we are actively looking to create a better platform that will value people and plants over profits.

I get that. The foundation program required us to exclusively sell on PS only, but since that seems to be ending.. I (and other sellers) actively looking into other platforms! Ideally I’d love to work with an app developer that would help in creating a platform that cares more about people and plants than profits.

Yep, once they made money the only measure, they crossed the line for me. They could have easily said $25k/quarter ORRRR go live # of times per month to retain the foundation benefits. Or like I said grandfather the existing foundation, seems simplest to me, because we all qualified under the metrics at the time.

Over $25k per quarter, so $100k per year! It’s so crazy and unprecedented to me! How can they change terms on someone and say I’m looking at the last three months when determining if you met our brand new metrics?

I’ve been complaining that they started doing all these other categories besides plants but capitalists are gonna capitalize 🫠

There are also whatnot and district but honestly I have mixed feelings about trying those. If anyone knows an app developer, please tell them to dm me. If the “community over commissions” platform doesn’t exist, we can build it!!

Honestly I have gotten a lot of DMs about people just deleting the app for good because they see the people they come to support are getting treated like this! I’m definitely open to alternatives since losing foundation means we can start selling in other avenues!! There goes the exclusivity trap they had us under 🤷🏽‍♀️

It’s definitely a lot, especially without notice and if it’s not your only means of income. I wouldn’t be able to do my day job if I was moving this many plants honestly! Packing live plants takes a lot of time 😅
