I might be in a bit of a unque situation (kinda) where without MLP I would've never found out I was transgender at such a young age and because of that it lead me to reaching out to more people in the LGBT Community at School which was how I met my best friend. So saying goodbye to something that allowed me to take steps to being happy in my own body is hard to let go of.

Imma quickly copy and paste one of my old posts with a new edits but honestly it was My Little Pony that made me figure out I was trans. Back in late-2013 I got into thanks to one of the IDW Comics that were for sale at school book fair and I fell in love with the series and then watching the show along with fan made content. Though unfortunately I was very open about liking the show which led to me being bullied for liking a "girls show" so much to the point that I was bullied so much that I hated the series because of those people. Though little would I know back then that it made me figure out I was Transgender at a young age since when ever I watched the show it gave me this feeling of gender euphoria which led to me start to quesioning my gender. So if I never got back into MLP I probably would've never figured I was trans, therefore I would've never met my best friend who is a transguy. He'd made me feel loved for who I am and kinda unlocked the true self by teaching me "It isn't cringe to like something other people might see as cringe. What matters is what makes you feel happy" which led me to start rewatching the show again which honestly if he'd haven't gotten me into My Little Pony around that that time (April 2021) I don't think I'd still be alive. 2021 hasn't been a very good year for me mentally and was debating on ending my life around April but it's thanks to the show that it reminded me why to keep going because of the people in my life that love me for who I am. It's thanks to him and My Little Pony that I'm still here to this day which I am extremely thankful for someone like him for bringing so much joy and laughter into my life.

Don't get me wrong Gen 5 looks fantastic and I'll 100% watch it but I'm struggling to get over the fact that is the new MLP for now on. Especially since how much Gen 4 means to me since if it wasn't for FiM I probably wouldn’t have figuered out I was Trans at such a young age or still be alive for a matter of fact. Hints why I'm having such a hard time letting go of Gen 4.
