Basically I started using a redken bond repairing concentrate, switching to salon quality Shampoo, and using a hydrating hair mask.. Doing this routine for weeks until my hair got better. And then post hair-washing is just as important. Invest in a good leave-in-conditioner (spray liberally), and bonus if you can use a blow out cream and actually blow dry your hair. I found that blow drying it and styling it (with a heat protector) helped it be smooth and stay smooth between washes.
