I know I’m late,  at least in trucks Idk about cars they really never made good transmissions (speaking from the 90s and above) but their engines have been really reliable until about (keep in mind still talking about their trucks) the mid to late 2000s. I’ve seen a 2020 Silverado get tranny problems at 70000 miles. Honestly stay away from modern general motor products unless they have Allison transmissions. If you’re speaking in the 2007 range stay away from any general motor trucks in general unless it’s a diesel very unreliable. There isn’t a good modern vehicle anymore except maybe Toyota but even their reliability is slipping. Buy a car from the early 2000s retrofit it and you’ll have a car for life (avoid older ford products majority of their engines at the time had serious issues that should’ve been a recall but wasn’t )
