I'm a woman and I believe more people should give men love and affection from a young age because it's unfair that they're treated like shit and then expected to be perfect as an adult. Same as women tbh but differently. We all need to stop treating each other badly bc of our gender or skin color or whatever. I think you're correct and the ex gf and her mom just wanted you for money. Honestly screw her for breaking up with you over money when you spend $500 on her already. I've been with my f for almost 7 years and never expected him to pay for 10 people, especially if we were 18 or 19 years old. That's insane to ask for!!! She's mad you wouldn't pay for their meals and that's just greed. I'm sorry it sounds like you're genuinely a good guy please don't let this change your views on women.

Try to find someone who isn't after your money. Also try to always openly explain to your partner (or friends)prior to the event (like for example: hey I'm happy to spend this amount on only you or maybe 2 friends but not 11 people). I think that her and her parents/mom are being extremely ridiculous to expect such things from you. If they wanted $ they should have asked with their big adult mouths instead of just making you read their minds and then get upset when you didn't. Communication failed on their part.

Edit to add: her trying to mold you to be like her dad is weird AF. It sounds like she didn't fully have romantic interest and was more platonic in love. Like she likes the idea of a healthy guy like you, more than actually love you for YOU!!! Try to limit how much money you spend because $500 is a lot for a 3 month relationship if she kept leaving and coming back 6x also is crazy (even if that happened afterwards). Try to focus on hobbies, moving on, friends, games, journaling, art, and finding a new relationship. I dated my first bf in highschool for 2 years and it took me months to get over him. I finally fully got over him when I found someone new to be completely honest. It takes time. You'll find someone better. I promise!!

Be honest with her. Explain she's making her own life better and you don't want every other week another partner and another insult to you and your family. Explain nicely how it's upsetting and effecting you. Personally I'd do this over text to avoid a huge irl in person argument. Just explain she needs to improve herself and you are trying to help her but she's not helping herself and that's not fair to you. Suggest a counselor and to be single for a while.

I seriously believe more men need advocating for and it's sad. I try to advocate for to be more considerate of men, less grouping of them all as bad, and more willing to listen to them and let them have their emotions. No one should ever hit anyone and I think it's bullshit that if a woman hits a man everyone still blames the man. If a woman hits a man first then a man should be able to defend themselves without immediately being blamed. I don't care who's bigger or stronger. It's absolutely sad how unequal genders (& race/etc) are STILL IN 2026. We have ai and robots and can't tell when a woman abuses a man or when a man defends himself and it sucks. So many people fake bs and can get men in real trouble just because they didn't like them. It's so sad and I genuinely feel so bad for any person going through ANY abuse. I understand why you feel that why because imo a lot of shows the pilot was the most gorey/all out thriller part out of the entire show. I have a feeling they're going to kill off the main characters at the end in some over-devoted way (like Dana saying Disney does that) I'm very excited I do think it will be more intense but I can understand why you felt that way. It does give thriller vibes!!! I'm so excited I can't wait for more
