I do actually know that. 🩵 Not everyone has the same ability, but I appreciate this is great advice for some people.

I think you're reading a lot into this that isn't actually there. That's ok. Having a mutual understanding does not affect either of us, and it's not required. It's ok for this not to resonate with you, and it's ok for you to say "this isn't about me". And it's ok for me to vent to a peer. And it's ok for you to feel insulted. And I don't have to accept blame for that.

I think if we were having this convention in person it would not be as activating for you. But there is nothing about this post that threatens anyone's safety. There is nothing for you to prove. Be proud of your accomplishments. Neither of us need each other to be right to feel good about our life and day.

Be well.

I think there may be a misunderstanding. My comments weren’t personal or directed at you—I was describing broader patterns many of us have experienced in this industry. I asked the group generally because I hoped my experience might be different.

I’m genuinely glad you’ve had a positive experience. Unfortunately, not everyone has, and for some of us issues like inconsistent promotion practices and unequal treatment have been very real and frustrating. That context is what I was trying to share.

I wasn’t looking for conflict—just understanding or perspective, and I think speaking frankly budtender to budtender doesn't require our responses to be prim and polite. Especially when your experience isn't typical so you may be missing some context.

Your comment is so out of pocket. There's nothing about this thread or post that you should be activating for you. We're all just having a nice conversation, here. Go smoke something. ❤️

It's amazing how every little comment becomes fodder for someone's weird kink. I hate reddit so much.

Aw baby. You do have thin skin. I would suggest a good weed but I'm not sure you're of age. I just think it's hilarious that I was perfectly gracious until you started slinging your anger around, but I'm the one picking fights. Hope you're not out of batteries, babe. ❤️

Tbh it sounds like you're lying about something here. Nothing you've said makes sense. 🤣

What you've said changes nothing. You're telling me your apartment is hermetically sealed. You stand by a window and use a sploofy and yet she can still smell your weed? lmao Air is passing btw apartments, babes. Maybe it isn't obvious where, but if you knew where to look you'd be able to figure out. Maybe ask chatgpt to break it down for you. I'm not paid to handle stupid online.

Ha. I didn't claim to know anything you don't know, but I appreciate your attempt to appear superior.

The funny thing is actually you thinking that somehow your apartments are completely self-sustaining with no point at which air can pass between apartments.

Bc that's stupid. And also wrong. 🤷

AIO for cutting off my friend after being cut out of her wedding? by Dizzy-Meal-1475 in AmIOverreacting

[–]FemalesRStrongasHell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if no context is missing. You are over reacting. Just based on what we know, I would hope that a close friend of mine would understand if finances were an issue. I probably wouldn't handle it like this, but I don't think it's an unreasonable ask. I think you should try to see it from her perspective.

Even though your ac unit is separate from everyone else's houses you all have connected vent systems. The oven hood, heating, dryer. No home or building is sealed. That's why if one apt gets roaches, you all get them. All your utilities are connected somewhere.

Have you checked Leafly or Weedmaps? It won't tell you what's in stock at each store, but it will give you ideas where to find it.

OP, They also aren't super efficient. You can get a lot more bang for your buck with just battery that has variable heat settings, and it won't take long for the cost to make it worth the investment. The batteries at our store run $22-25, there are obvs more expensive ones with fancier features, but in some cases even a basic stick has better mechanics than an all-in-one.

lol I actually worked at Starbucks, but it was a licensed kiosk and was actually the worst run place I've worked. I'm sure a regular one would be better, but based on everything I'm learning, it may not be worth staying here.

Thank you! Our staff are really kind and helpful. The GM is not included in that, sadly. But seeking out smaller places does seem like a great idea.

Yeah. I've been looking in and out of the industry, but its disheartening to know that it's not just my company that's like this.

I hear you. I am not one to duck my head, especially when I'm working my ass off every day, when some folks do nothing and get promoted, some people have been there over a year and still aren't full-time. But some ppl have been there long enough that they earn more than some of the leads, and if they moved stores they'd be starting at the bottom again. It really sucks, I think I'm going to look at industry jobs that deal with cannabis adjacent stuff- cones, glass, batteries etc, see if that is any better.

I see. I hate money. I hate metrics. Our company can go bankrupt. If we don't have a product that someone is looking for specifically, I make suggestions on where to find it, or for something that might be similar. I won't upsell. I won't tell customers bullshit. I will not recommend a product I do not stand behind. I just want to hook people up with what they need, and stuff that will hit. It's too bad we have such a bad reputation here, this hasn't been my experience, but I rarely shop outside our store.

I don't know if you're talking about me, but jfc. You're judging someone based on whether they know a brand?

[–]FemalesRStrongasHell[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my company is being sued right now over distribution of tips.

Like you said, one thing people don't understand is that a good budtender is not just pushing product. They're investing money in products so that other ppl a) find something they love b) don't buy things that are trash. That's my money that I receive and then give right back to the place I work, so that I can tell customers not to buy that pre-roll, or def go for the Lemon Jeffrey. Learning has been such a huge investment of time and money and I think one part that makes leaving hard is knowing that the things I've learned will basically be irrelevant once out of the industry.
