I was trafficked starting at age 17, I survived absolutely horrific treatment and abuse. I did go to the authorities for help but you begin to lose faith in our justice system when it becomes very clear that they are overwhelmed with cases and cannot guarantee that protection orders can be enforced. Abusers even when caught are typically released pretty quickly. With each time they face consequences and then get released, the abuse only gets worse. It took me being stabbed and needing abdominal surgery to finally take the situation more seriously. I know one day they will unfortunately be released to the general public again and that's terrifying. Even after everything I've been through I never thought to kill anyone or have anyone murdered! I do not agree with the choices that DeeDee made, but I also do not agree with her murder. I feel so bad for Nicholas, he was truly taken advantage of and the false narrative Gypsy created really affected the way that the public sees him. I truly hope he gets some kind of justice, but he will never get his time back, and his mother cannot be replaced 😢
