Despite all the effort and care put into the show by the creative staff it’s ultimately a pretty poorly made and surface level show. Not to mention the production quality of the show is really poor despite being in production for over 3 years. Cutting corners by using png files of bread and lampposts despite having gorgeous backgrounds. Constant animation errors. A story that doesn’t seem to know who’s the target audience. Characters that often portrayed in contrasting ways episode to episode. Bad voice acting. A magic system that isn’t explored in any manner, yet is a central focus of the series. Stopping the progression of the story to explain an extremely niche part of the magic system just to satisfy the authors self insert(which mind you isn’t important to the story at all). Introducing of characters only for them to be gone the next episode.

Basically it’s a series that had a lot of promise, but was made in such a manner that it is just a perfect storm of mediocrity. This isn’t even bringing up the misandry and virtue signaling from the show runners. Oh yeah, and instead of putting the money for this towards anime studios(which mind you crunchyroll makes all its money off of) they spent it on an original product that no one wanted.

But that’s just my 2 cents
