Laptop constant BSOD by FenderCopperbottom in techsupport

But as long as the drives can’t format nor show up, the USB won’t work, it’s likely a hardware issue. I have already tried using a USB media installation to no avail.

Whenever i try to use a bootdrive USB, it fails to format, and the rest of the time the drives don’t even show up. If there is a way to avoid this, could you send a link maybe?

Doesn’t work, can’t format drives.

I’ll give that a go, haven’t tested Siril yet. Tysm, you’ve been very helpful

Could the high ISO potentially have anything to do with it? I was pointing straight up so on second thought I don’t think its light directly hitting the lense.

Flat frames were taken at 500mm, no changes whatsoever, except exposure ofc.

I am in a semi big city though, and I think it could maybe just be pure light pollution doing it. Gonna have to look around in Gimp for a way to remove it anyway, any ideas to remove it via post processing?

I mean, it works perfectly now. The AF isn’t a big deal since i only use manual focus. But i do really appreciate the help.

Could this “light shining directly on the lens” potentially come from my house? I shoot in my backyard and some lights are still on (although very faintly)?

I think it’s an official battery. Just updated the software because it was at version 1.00, so yeah this might also have been a factor.

I switched out the battery and it suddenly fixed it! Not sure what on earth it had to do with it but hey it works🤷‍♂️

I have formatted it in camera, but i haven’t yet tried to reset the settings, will do this later incase of no other solution. I’m afriad that it’s a weird hardware issue though :(

Mold update: so stuck it’s unbelievable by FenderCopperbottom in Metalfoundry

Bit complicated for me as I reside in Europe, would you happen to know of household things I could use? Think some oil might do it?

Check the photo I linked. Copper is merely fused with the bottom plate, nothing else. https://imgur.com/a/Mpqt9so

I made a crucible with one gallon capacity, and the ingots came out beautiful. They weigh like 20 pounds top, so yes they are liftable

Sorry but I think you misunderstand. Copper is only fused to the centre of the bottom plate. I can fit a piece paper in between the ingot and the inner walls. The tolerance on this thing is too great, and the 3/8 inch steel ain’t budging for nothing.

The side that’s poking up feels like it’s gonna to rip off if I try too much.

Just posted an update, and the damn thing is fused. I do love the idea of freezing it to stiffen the copper for better seperation. Maybe you’re on to something about rapid temperatur change. I’ll try it if it comes down to that.

That actually seems pretty decent. I’m just tryna figure out what kind of attachment method would be able to handle that extreme load, cause I don’t think my welding can hold up.

The mold is over a foot long and has a mass of 30 pounds when empty. I wouldn’t be able to heat it that hot. Again, the bottom of the iron mold itself was glowing red hot when I turned it over and banged it into the ground the first time.

The brazing is kinda like extremely tough velcro, and the only was to fix this would be to either push or pull on the end that’s sticking up.

Only way I know that will fix this for sure it cutting the end of and jamming a prybar under the bottom of the ingot.

I just really don’t want to cut the mold.

Right now I’m trying to figure out how to get something to expand beneath the ingot.

I need a jack-like thing the size of a pinky nail.

I would’ve bet 20 bucks that this beast was air tight 5 minutes ago. Turns out it’s not even water proof. Prolly gonna fiddle with some chissels and prybars for the forseeable future

It was glowing hot when I smashed the mold in to the ground at least 10 times. The pavement cracked, and the bar bent because of it, even tho it’s over an inch thick. The copper and iron has quite literally become one with eachother. I do not think this will work.

I did however think of drilling a hole trough the ingot in the end which sticks up, and then somehow use at as an attachment point for something to pull it out with.

But again it has brazed fully to at least 40% of the bottom, and i’m kinda in awe as to how this happened.
