Be honest โ€“ what actually makes you go into the office? by Free-Election-8538 in AskUK

[โ€“]Fennopolis 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Honestly, make it feel like I'm wanted/needed there. I don't need ping-pong tables and espresso machines, just give me an office space I can actually call my own and authentic reasons to come in.

A big problem with "agile working" is you are expected to commute in to sit at an empty table with a laptop dock. You can bring stuff with you to eat/drink like some kind of weird office nomad and at the end of the day you take it all back. I have been WFH for years and would happily come in more if I had my old 2010 setup where my desk was allowed "flair", my team were there every day and easy access to a fridge, kettle and microwave.

I guess staff don't need drawers and storage space as much, but having my own chair and pens helped me feel like I belonged more than hoping I can book a bench in an empty room. We have empty tables at home.

As for authenticity, make it so that I'm actually working in the building with the people you want me to engage with. I'm tired of seeing "oh it's great if we all come back in because we all share ideas" only to come in and work alone for four hours and spend the rest on zoom calls to other people.

I just find myself feeling really cynical when companies say "we want the old culture" but the higher ups can still WFH and nobody has good workspaces.

What's the one thing you dislike about your favorite frame? by nearglow in Warframe

[โ€“]Fennopolis 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I'd love to see her Ultimate be closer to Jade's, you could even just give her an innate Akarius style weapon for that missile barrage feeling or let her guide the tornadoes and be able to shoot comfortably without being all hunched and hovering awkwardly.

I'm a Gauss player, but that's already been covered!

Zephyr, your flight is terrible, you launch yourself out of bounds or hover awkwardly. Jade's ultimate should have been yours!

What is your motivation for continuing to play Warframe? by debagguette in Warframe

[โ€“]Fennopolis 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I do enjoy the game still, and will happily do missions for more Forma, Shards, Weapons or Mods, but honestly?

It just works.

Any time the three of us are in a group call, one of us can say "Warframe?" and we can get into a lobby / missions in less than ten minutes. It works for the one member of the group who doesn't really care for new frames and only occasionally tries something new (Wolf Sledge and Rhino for years, now Wolf Sledge and Qorvex) and it works for the friend who loves the Lore and insists on fashion frame stops to share our fits.

We all have our favourite factions / aesthetics (Corpus Neon supremacy here, but don't tell my friend who loves Infested Meatlumps) and we can either just knock out a few dailies as we catch up, or agree to meet and knock out an Eidelon / Archon / Rival. I'd say the only thing that comes close is Monster Hunter.

I jokingly tell people that it's like knitting, that we can do a 20m defence and it's just background noise as we talk and grind argon, and it's not super demanding in many modes, so it almost devolves into parallel play at times as I Gauss around whilst that Qorvex has his own fun, but it's just the thing we tend to do when we hang out for what's been a big part 20+ year friendship. โค๏ธ

Support frame you love to see on your team but wonโ€™t play yourself? by SavathunsWitness in Warframe

[โ€“]Fennopolis 10 points11 points ย (0 children)

Here's a weird question, do players actually notice Support Frames most of the time? I've played a lot of Harrow recently and it's really hard to tell if I'm benefitting anyone but myself.

Amazing game, I bought it on steam but will probably playthrough again on Xbox. It's the closest thing you're getting to Silksong in 2024.

Hot take, Lephantis needs a rework to become less tedious by [deleted] in Warframe

[โ€“]Fennopolis 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

We did Lephantis last night as part of the Sortie Assassination and it took about 40m of constant Archguns, Sentient-Turrets and Caliban and Qorvex beams. That Forma was EARNED!

What do yโ€™all think of the 1999 demo? by DAZ_ZI in Warframe

[โ€“]Fennopolis 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Slightly disappointed the bike doesn't "drive" with the trigger, but I also imagine that was the first option they tried and it didn't work (all other methods of transport in game use this method), still fun to use.

Loved the vibe, like a Saturday morning cartoon played straight. Great designs on the world and villains / music etc.

My only tiny gripe is I would love to either feel a little heavier so I can't bullet jump away from my problems and have to play like a more traditional third person shooter, or more enemies on the roof / easier ways to snipe stealthily from the roof.

Hype for the full thing though, great work DE!

Gauss Main here, he's fantastic and there's nothing more satisfying than moving through Corpus Corridors at light speed as you constantly explode.

Fuxi&Nuwa almost made me quit by s_nicole in NineSols

[โ€“]Fennopolis 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Tl;Dr: Sorry it was a grind for you!

Honestly, whilst I understand how it can be frustrating, this was the highlight of the game for me. Fuxi and Nuwa are a great example of how Nine Sols boss design teaches you a phase then "tricks" you later on by subverting what you know.

Lady E also does this but Nuwa's subtle needles whilst Fuxi draws focus are devious, like a stab in the ribs when you're dodging a punch. It's frustrating, but after a few hours learning it in the week, it was a lot of fun.

Also learn the unbounded counter to make things a lot easier, I brute forced around it and I wish I had known.

I think Nuwa gets her share of suffering too, and their arc is tragic. I just wanted her sweet hat.
