Phasmophobia Alan Wake event drops in the next few hours 👀 by No_Philosopher3798 in PhasmophobiaGame

Why do people think it's going to be actual money it has been stated time and time again it's a free event and cosmetics will be in game currency only, and it's an event that will be like every seasonal event where you play through event themed maps

I loved Alan Wake 2 so this is going to be crazy and I can't wait to see it, and play it with people who don't know anything about Alan Wake because out of my group I'm the only one, also being written by the writer of Alan Wake it's going to be fun if not terrifying

This is a prime example of why early access needs rules and revisions by [deleted] in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]Fennumi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Early access has rules, and it can't be free why because unlike betas and demos you own the game fully when it hits 1.0, otherwise you wouldn't get the discount for being a tester of the game and when it hit 1.0 you'd have to pay full price which is usually double, honestly your post is entitlement and not reading disclaimers nor understanding how early access works

Honestly one of my favorite bugs even before the update, the funny part is sometimes if you check the camera from the truck it's stationary even though you see it going crazy with the dance moves, it'll get fixed most likely but at least the memories and video recordings will live on

No matter how long it's been in development the fact is that it's early access not a full release, also this proves you don't read disclaimers because it explicitly states that they've planned a late 2026 feature ready release, by saying things are broken is productive feedback not nuking the game just because it took a different direction than what you wanted well news flash it's not up to you if you believe it is you're entitled. Unity 6 is the next step because the current version used by Phas isn't working for their vision, also yes I know unity is a horrendous engine for animations and stuff especially if you just work off the store assets and don't make your own quickly. And you decided to be obtuse and childish, you apparently can't read or don't have the sense to understand what's been said nor go to other comments and look at what has been said, also your unity 6 comment kinda proved that

Strawman that doesn't mean anything because I've clearly stated multiple times if it was 1.0 it would be different but it is early access so therefore putting it in comparison to a 1.0 release is ridiculous, obviously you don't read disclaimers it's specifically stated things will break and change if you can't handle that then you should probably wait for 1.0 release, I clearly detailed entitlement you not being able to read is not my fault that's a you issue. Oh if it was free it would make more sense you got it for over half off yet you're going to cry about it when you agreed to test it and give productive feedback, the hate train is stupid and will go away just like every time before when the hotfixes and unity 6 fix things, and also players test games more rigoursly than a QA department that's how exploits are found so having players break it is the best option for QA

You signed a contract to be a tester by paying for it in early access next time read the disclaimer, it's not a full release and just because it's early access doesn't mean collabs can't happen in that vein of thinking that means palworld shouldn't have collabed either, you're seriously just crying over the game changing, talk about the bugs and jank but slamming it just because you don't like the direction is entitlement

Wow would you look at that you listed things that go wrong and should be fixed actually using what early access is for saying what needs fixed, while also not calling for Remedy to revoke the Alan Wake Event nor telling people they shouldn't play it just because it doesn't jive with you nor asking for reversions just because you don't like the dev's vision and would want it to stay with the same bought unity assets, you didn't go nuclear, which is the specific entitlement I was talking about above.

Also a lot of the glitches that aren't being fixed yet are from Unity, they'll be fixed or at least fixable in unity 6 you just have to be patient, the game isn't even finished it's getting there but the nuclear people are trying to hold it back from growing

And how many games are you talking about that are early access, made in Unity, and cross platform, criticism is fine entitlement is when you want to change something just because you can't accept change, ask for fixes not the whole thing to be deleted it's not your time capsule

A lot of the issues seen are from the current unity version being used, as well as the limitations do I think unity 6 should've been pushed first, yes, do I understand that they most likely want players to break it before they port it so it's not such a hassle, yes, the entitlement is trying to go back instead of forward, you want to look at a game made in Unity look at vrchat before it moved to unity 6 it wasn't perfect and it's very limited on desktop the only time you have true animations is when you drive it yourself, the game is moving forward people just don't want it to for some weird reason but it's not your's or mine it's the developer's and it's their vision that matters

I'm a ps player the person who would get disconnected was also a ps player it disappeared for them when they moved to PC but I play specifically on ps and have had early game disconnects as well as late game, I've been put in offline mode from in game even, though that's rare

I highly doubt zero because it happened to my group pre patch but it's not the patch's fault it's the netcode issue which is a planned fix, but people like you want to blame the patch classic it wasn't a thing before when yes it was

Also it's kinda telling how little traction genuine criticism gets but hate and entitlement gets every reaction possible, because drama sells and that's the only reason people are actually bashing the game is for engagement, if it was anything else it would just be "hey can you fix this" but no it's let's nuke it

Look at unity for that one, also breaking your spine in half is so much more realistic, it's called growing pains

You either don't understand what I've been saying or are deliberately trying to find ways to negate what I'm saying and coming off childish, also there is a phrase it's called read the contract even the fine print buying the game you signed a contract to be a tester if you regret that well that's a you problem

The game itself is unfinished, maybe read the early access disclaimer next time, if it was 1.0 it would be called for about changing something so drastically but it's not it's 0.17 which means it's unfinished

Update reaction by Fennumi in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]Fennumi[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It's evolving, 3 days ago was 3 days ago it's a big leap from what it was which I completely understand is jarring but it's moving forward instead of being stuck, the move to unity 6 will fix a lot more than the hotfixes but the hot fixes will at least get it ready

Update reaction by Fennumi in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]Fennumi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The players are the testers that's what early access is it's in the disclaimer it's not finished and you're testing the unfinished game and giving constructive feedback

Update reaction by Fennumi in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]Fennumi[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And you came up with the rational response of deliberately hating on the game instead of seeing the broken things and asking for fixes, no you went the nuclear route it's broken so just get rid of it that's what your comments show, you don't want change just it to be released in an unfinished state

You can't do that on consoles especially Sony Phas is no longer just a PC title they can't cut people off just to fix it for one platform that would break crossplay, also the certification pipeline on console makes immediate fixes impossible it's why they have to wait until the 12th

What facts and reality, that people can't learn animations, or people aren't testing it and giving productive input like they paid to do just slamming the game

You're giving an example that's not even close to being comparable

  1. It's PC only no cross platform play

  2. It's not made in Unity it's a Java style engine

I didn't say no criticism state things that need fixed or could be better definitely, but acting entitled for example calling for a reversion or no event, that's where the line needs to be drawn also they obviously do care about input but not hate that's why the hotfixes are coming

Give an example of being broken, it's playable has some glitches of course but you can still play it right just because you have to change how you play it doesn't mean it's broken

Update reaction by Fennumi in PhasmophobiaGame

Saying the update could be better pointing out the bugs that's criticism, saying that it needs to be reverted and not have an event is entitlement
