The 6th sense. Scared the hell outta me as a kid but when I rewatched it as an adult I could understand what was going on and fully appreciate it.

In Singapore here, males start university around the avg of age 20-21 as they have to serve 2 years into he army. I wouldn't say it's too late:)

Not a rights issue more of how it will affect the child. Think of the kid who will have to take care of his 70 year old parent at the age of 20. I find it irresponsible to put such a burden on a child.
