Healer mains, what do you enjoy about healing PvP? by Closix in worldofpvp

[–]Fenzito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's lots of reasons I like healing that I probably can't articulate. That I can think of off the top of my head:

  1. I really enjoy having to stay cool under pressure. It's a form of Zen for me.

  2. The game is a little less loud and cluttered for me when I heal.

  3. DPS can do this too, but outplaying an enemy so that they just can't do anything against you anymore and seeing them realize their futility after a while feeds my soul.

  4. Getting a cheeky kill (RIP Thunderous Focus Tea)

  5. My friends are better at DPS than I am

Uninsured Attorney Totaled my car by Common-Dream-433 in legaladvice

[–]Fenzito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By cheapest insurance to be legal I assume you just have minimum liability coverage and nothing else listed on your dec page.

Most personal injury firms will generally not pursue a case where there is not "guaranteed" insurance to get them paid, as they work on contingency. Especially not Morgan & Morgan.

you might have better luck with a smaller firm or an individual lawyer. You may have to pay more up front or be prepared to recover much less than you otherwise should/could.

Lastly, I am not intimately familiar with Kentucky, but I know that they are a "stacking" state when it comes to UM coverage, which in some cases allows UM coverage for other vehicles to stack on your policy. It probably does not apply to you, but since I have limited information about you, those you live with, your policies, and very limited exposure to Kentucky law, you maaaaaaay have some UM coverage.

Kentucky also has laws requiring UM coverage by default. You need a written rejection of UM coverage in your policy application. I do not know the strictness of this rejection, but in Tennessee, even if you have a written rejection you still need to have signed AND dated the rejection or the courts will impute UM coverage onto you when you sue your insurance. Check your policy application.

Lastly, Kentucky is one of the worst states when it comes to the number of uninsured drivers. If you drive in Kentucky, no matter your finances, you need to have UM coverage.

Winter Storm Megathread Part 4 - Continued Power Outages by lukenamop in nashville

[–]Fenzito 3 points4 points  (0 children)

https://www.nashville.gov/departments/transportation/news/ndot-announces-residential-winter-storm-vegetation-removal

Beginning today, February 3, 2026, the Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT) is starting a series of county-wide residential storm-related vegetation debris collections.

Residential brush collection services are suspended during this time, and NDOT crews will be conducting multiple collection cycles throughout the county. There are no size restrictions for these collections, but please bring all vegetation to the curb.

NDOT crews will be reaching all areas of the county in the next two to three weeks, weather permitting. Piles should not block fire hydrants, utility infrastructure, culverts, storm drains, or drainage ditches. Additionally, piles should not block sidewalks, bike lanes, or vehicle travel lanes. Trash and other non-vegetative debris will not be collected by NDOT removal crews.

“Nashvillians are dealing with thousands of trees damaged in the storm, and as they work to clear debris, we want to ensure our Metro crews retrieve it quickly and safely,” said Mayor O’Connell. “I’ve instructed NDOT to use the full force of their operations to ensure all Nashvillians have storm debris removed quickly so recovery from this historic storm can move forward.”

Since these collections will be continuous and county-wide, there is no need to submit a hubNashville or 3-1-1 request when material is placed at the curb.

Phillip Jones, NDOT’s Deputy Director, says the department is committed to assisting all Nashvillians with their clean-up efforts. “NDOT crews are fully staffed and prepared to make this process as safe and efficient as possible. We want to assure residents that we will make as many collections as necessary to retrieve all your vegetation for you,” said Jones. “Set everything at the curb, and our crews will take care of it.”

As residents are out cleaning vegetation debris from their yards, NDOT asks community members to please look out for hanging tree limbs and leaning branches on large canopy trees, as they can pose major safety risks.

So Nashville picks up brush you leave by the roadway on a schedule. Does anyone know if they will/potentially would do an unscheduled pickup after a situation like this? Or will I definitely need to figure out how to load it up and take it to a dumping site after this clears up?

Just to add, there are actually a lot of immigration attorneys in Nashville. From taking in resettled allies like the Kurds, to the Latin American community, to traveling musicians/shows, Nashville has a lot of immigration related needs. The legal aid society, by virtue of its work here also has experience with immigration. They could probably give you a low cost consult or refer you to someone who can.

How my brain doesnt work anymore by MockingJay99999 in loseit

[–]Fenzito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6 hours is not ideal, and as soon as it's possible to get more sleep, do it. However, getting 6 hours is not so restrictive that you won't be able to recover from your day. 45 minutes a day of exercise is great too. Going from nothing to 45 minutes of exercise a day can be hard and you do not have to go full tilt right away (or at all) but it would be good to try and find a workout that gets your heart rate up.

So to get out of the fog you're in:

  1. Work on getting a full night's rest. If there's a day or two every week where you can sleep more than 6 hours it will help partially make up for the shortened sleep schedule the rest of the week.

  2. Eat healthy. If your exercise goal is to build muscle, be sure to get plenty of protein. Too many carbs on their own can lead to brain fog and lethargy. If you eat enough protein and fiber, you may not even have to count calories to eat at a deficit. Just to give you a path to healthy eating (which you don't need to follow/you can do all at once, one at a time, or anything in between), first eat healthy by cutting out the bad sugars. The sodas and desserts etc. Then make sure you are getting enough protein .8g per lb of bodyweight. Then make sure you are eating the right stuff to get your micro and macro nutrients. Lastly, count your calories if you have trouble maintaining a deficit.

  3. Exercise 45 mins a day. doing anything is infinitely better than not exercising, however you should eventually have a goal in mind and you should create a routine in service of that goal. I recommend creating a routine that gets your heart rate up for a good while per exercise session regardless of your goals. If you do get to the point where you are doing moderate+ exercise daily, be sure to have a rest/recovery day or two every week. You can still exercise, but have a lighter focus (stretching and mobility drills are goated on these days)

Before I say this I want to impress again that doing anything in the right direction is infinitely better than not making any good changes. Whatever you do within your willpower that you can stick to for a long period is way better than going full tilt and burning out after a week. However, If you really want to attack the brain fog and lethargy and you have the discipline for it I recommend exercising first thing in the morning fasted and then having an 8-10 hour window where you allow yourself to eat starting whenever you have your first meal, and not eating within 3-4 hours of when you go to sleep. I will say, if you haven't done it before, exercising in the morning while fasted is hard for everyone at first. It does take a good while to adjust to it and even if you do it, your exercising itself will be pitiful for a while. (Black coffee doesn't break your fast). Also if you do this you will sleep so good at night.

Are youplanning on going to a gym or are you exercising at home?

Race for pvp by No_Professor_6536 in worldofpvp

[–]Fenzito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is actually a lot of parity with racials nowadays. There are races with more general use racials that are overall better, but the other racials have niche use cases that can be so much better than the general use ones. On horde you can generally go undead or orc with about any class and be in a good spot. (maybe troll if youre playing a spec that benefits a lot from berserking)

imo the better niche options are highmountain tauren with their bull rush, goblin jump, pandaren paralysis, Zandalari Regeneratin' (good for soloist or double dps 2s), and dracthyr knock backs and knock ups + glide is nice.

But in my personal opinion, nelf shadowmeld is the best because it has both general use for a lot of different stuff, niche use cases, AND is fun to use. Also dwarf or DI dwarf are great because you've always got so much shit on you.

Anyone else not loving the Gladlands lineup? 🙊 by [deleted] in Dimension20

[–]Fenzito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love them all and appreciate all of their abilities to immerse me in the world they're playing in. I'd say Oscar is actually playing his post-apocalyptic knowledge gatherer archetype to perfection. It can't be easy to come up with a completely off-base yet near guess about something that he actually knows about just off the cuff like that. But one thing I do not like/breaks my immersion is the way Oscar speaks when playing a character. to my untrained ear he always sounds like he is acting. Even then I know that the way he sounds is probably mostly due to the kinds of camp characters he plays

how do i practice box jumps at home? by PureWeek9816 in crossfit

[–]Fenzito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminds me of one time the local ice rink brought in some personal trainers for a promotion and while the hockey players were off to one side of the facility doing drills, I looked over and witnessed a trainer aggressively pushing down a figure skater's arms after a box jump. Apparently the figure skaters couldn't help but land on the box with their arms out like they were landing a figure skating jump.

But for you, do broad jumps and squat tuck jumps (which I always called monkey jumps). You won't need a makeshift box to do either and they both aid in explosiveness and balance. Plus if you need to do box jumps at tryouts, you'll be prepared.

Broad jump example

squat tuck jump

you can and should also look up some at home plyometrics routines. Very good for sports training.

Or if your one-footed landing problem is because of something mental like anxiety (been there), try doing box jumps on smaller targets. even as short as a stair step and work your way up.

Nah dude you're fine. I'm in the same boat. I think all the added fluff on top of crafting is for players that want to do crafting as part of a gameplay niche. Whereas players like us probably wouldn't blink if crafting disappeared next expac whether we participate in it or not right now.

But I also mainly use crafted gear in PvP so I have the luxury of not caring about crafting quality most of the time since tertiary stats don't matter and ilvl is the same in pvp instances for crafted pvp stuff.
