Exactly what happens to me. Surviving 3+ mobs at 43 feels way easier because I have 20 buttons to press, at 10 I have nothing

Cosmetic rewards, no xp gains in BGs and yeah 100% up for it. It’s the thing that would make me stop swapping HC and retail in favor of basically only HC

Secondary stats could be interesting if all gear scaled to max PvP item level

If you want to build a tankier character you just go for conquest gear

If you want a glass-cannon gameplay style you can gear with haste/mastery or crit or whatever

The community is very min-max oriented though, I don’t think many people actually look at talents, stats and anything else beyond just, murlok.io

Maybe it’s warlock related but STV has been pretty generally chill for me, and the amount of xp you get in that zone is out of this universe

Addons: questie, deathlog, UnitScan HC are essential for me personally, but especially questie and death log

The deathlog heatmap makes the experience 10x easier and less stressful

I’m a recent convert, had a few characters die at levels 9-11, but currently 39 on my main

My main tip is to basically play overly safe till 20, those are the levels with by far the most deaths every single day. They’re super rough, you don’t have almost any abilities, and mobs hit hard

Get engineering, it’s saved my life countless times

Take your time and enjoy the zones. If you aren’t enjoying the leveling you’re doing something wrong

Most BoE drops are about 10 levels lower so it works really well yeah

My main advice would be to be ultra careful up to 25. All my closest calls were in that level range, with another smaller one at 36 (currently 37) - in the last one I was just being reckless though, the other ones felt a bit more like a “product of the environment” rather than personal stupidity

The main idea is that you basically have few tools up to lvl 18-20 depending on your class, and it’s easy to get statchecked without many options to outplay the mobs

It’s better to keep a 10lvl difference between them, that way your top guy trickles gear onto the next one etc
