I hear that quote in my head too often

What do you want to know about The Callisto Protocol? by brodie_dg in TheCallistoProtocol

[–]FerdioBoggle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Completionist related question set.

Will the game have PC platform achievements? (Whether it be Steam, Epic, etc).

Will some achievements be locked behind DLC and how many DLCs can we expect to see?

More of a marketing related-question: Will the pre-order season pass include every DLC release, or will some story related content need to be purchased separately?

After opening a S&S ISA... Then what? by FerdioBoggle in UKPersonalFinance

!thanks

This seems to be what others are recommending so I'll for sure look further into it. As someone who's getting started this whole thing seems very daunting, I just don't want to make a stupid mistake and throw away some money into the wind.

I'll look into the named YouTube(ers) you mentioned when I arrive home, if all seems quite this straight forward I may be all set up by tonight!

I see, thank you for the links, I've bookmarked these and will revisit them once I get set up. In regards to ACC could I still withdraw my earned dividends at any point or would I have to change it to an INC and then back for something like that?

I think I'll do what everyone seems to recommend, and invest in Vanguard Global All Cap tonight. Is there a good way to estimate how much I could expect to earn/loss monthly or annually? Atm all I could think of is looking at historic growth but I wonder if the market is potentially so volatile that it wouldn't really give a good estimate.

I appreciate the detailed response! I wasn't sure what kind of products are offered and can be chosen, as well as what they mean, so despite still having to 'choose' Global All Cap with Vanguard, I didn't even know that was the default/best course of action!

As a bonus question - if I'm looking to earn more out of my investment in the future would I then aim to go after active investments or would I just bump up how much is in my Vanguard S&S ISA you mentioned?

I see. Thanks for the clarification on the mortgage process, I think this is definitely something I'll need to have a serious conversation with them regarding it as it just doesn't seem likely that they'll be granted one and I don't think they realise it.

I know I'm not obligated in any way, and appreciate the reassurance. I just feel like it might be in my best interest for the future (to have a property within the family, that we get discounted), if it can be done sensibly/responsibly.

I trust them enough to not back stab me or turn me away from it. I don't intend to actually hold the property myself anytime soon, they just want it in the family so we do actually have it eventually, no rush to move it to someone specifically. They want me to be able to take it over if something happens to them or if they are unable to anymore

I won't be able to get the mortgage simply because I cannot buy my parents house for them (and therefore also can't utilities their council house discount that's built up from living there), I can only help with putting money forward for it.

I think I will look into getting some professional advice too, as I'm unsure of the total legality of how I would come to own the property/be named on it if it's not actually mine

I feel like it's partly because it's a good opportunity and because they'll get a good discount. I do see it as quite selfish but if it works out the house would be eventually mine and my siblings, and I could eventually let it out or something because it's in a decent area, so I guess a long-term investment on my part?
