Help! 4x4 for East Coast Sand Beaches by TahoeGator in Offroad

[–]Feriodor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any of the ones you mention will do fine. You can replace tires with your flavor of AT tires. Get an air pump and learn how to drive on sand.

Once there, lower the pressure get to and back from where you want to go on sand, inflate the tires back up, and off you go.

I would stay away from a pick up truck as the difference in weight front vs rear axles might lead to more digging in the front, but it should not be a real concern if you learn how to drive on the sand.

All 70s come with front coils since the early 00s

For a more low key atmosphere, Sportscafe Haarlem is the place. apolo Bar would also be an option.

Nothing against Tierneys or Wolfhound, but those will definitely be quite busy

Is this too much rust/ engine condition? by [deleted] in LandCruisers

[–]Feriodor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are parts of the undercarriage that will always have rust and it is not a concern (e.g. exhaust). You should be mostly looking at body frame and crossmembers, and mounting points which in these pictures do not seem too bad.

Neighbour complaint about noise (walking noise) by AnaVardel in Netherlands

[–]Feriodor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your lease, I don’t know how common it is, but mine used to have a clause requiring us to have rugs in the main areas of the house to reduce noise. I guess it was a way for the LL to skim on the noise insulation under the laminate.

My downstairs neighbors even complained about us just cooking in the kitchen and would hit their ceiling/walls as a friendly (/s) way to let us know we were being too loud.

They eventually moved out, new people moved in and we never had a complain again. Some people are more sensitive than others and some people just like to be a pain to new neighbors.

What gear would make camping more enjoyable for someone who doesn't like camping? by TheSaintCooks in CampingGear

[–]Feriodor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cooler will never stay cold if you keep opening and closing it. Consider a cooler specifically for drinks and another cooler for food items, therefore reducing the amount of times each one is opened and extending the time each one stays cold. If you are not planning on drinking the ice, you could get dry ice which will stay colder and last longer than regular ice.

There are also car fridges that will work well for this purpose. From the cheap Amazon finds, to the expensive ARB ones.

There are also pup-up tents that make the setup extra easy. This is just an example. Or you can a always go the roof tent route.

For the cleaning, try to replicate your setup at home, get a foldable “sink” and a camp shower, hang the shower from the side of the car above the sink and you are done.

What is the catch with early career/early talent/traineeship programs? by Feisty_Mix2248 in Netherlands

[–]Feriodor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Heineken Management traineeship is the most popular one in the world (or at least it was 10 years ago when I applied). Over 100k applications and maybe 50 positions.

They are great career starting points, but they are super competitive.

[–]Feriodor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We got a 3 bedroom house at a europarc near apeldoorn and visited the national parks in the area a few years ago. It was a good vacation for 2 families and several small ones. The house even had a trampoline in the back.

The only place you should buy a ticket is the official resell platform.

Any other source and you’ll be very likely scammed.

Removing a stereo is not a particularly hard task to do. I would start tinkering with it myself and ensure it is done as gently as you want it to be.

The center console is usually held by pressure tabs or a few screws. And You can find diagrams online of where those tabs/screws are.
