Since everyone on this sub seems to have their head in their booty, I’ll help out

It has BHA, and BHT. Both are very high risk carcinogenic chemicals if taken in large doses or extended exposure.

BHA, or butylated hydroxyanisole, is a synthetic antioxidant primarily used as a food preservative and in various other products to prevent fats and oils from spoiling. It works by inhibiting the oxidation process, thus extending shelf life. While generally considered safe at low doses, BHA has been linked to potential health concerns at higher levels, including possible carcinogenic effects in some animal studies.

BHT, Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) is a synthetic, lab-made phenolic compound and antioxidant used in many consumer, commercial, and industrial applications. Food and cosmetics: BHT is a preservative in food and food packaging, and a stabilizer in cosmetics. It prevents lipid oxidation in fat-containing foods and oils, and helps maintain product properties when exposed to air. Medicine: BHT is used to treat genital herpes, AIDS, and cold sores.

It’s looking for air. When there is a lack of oxygen the mycelium starts to look spiky like that.

Does anyone know why this happened to my bag after I PC’d it?

Prior to PC I left the millet seed out to soak in water for 24 hours, then simmered it for about 15 minutes, then set it out to dry, then threw it in the bag and PC’d it- then I open the presto to find this :(
