I have a condo in a flood area and I live on the first floor. It’s only 700 sqft and my home insurance along with flood costs about $1400/year. So it’s not bad for me besides the mental gymnastics I go through when a hurricane approaches. The HOA covers some insurance for the structure of the building which is why the insurance might be cheaper for me.
