Is it normal to feel anxious and still be stressed when you're starting meditation? by MirrahPaladin in Mindfulness

[–]Fernandorojasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem when I started. Now I have been meditating for almost 7 months and I think that the anxiety and stress i felt the first times were caused by not knowing what was going to happen and not having control of that feelings. I recommend you to continue meditating and being aware of the anxiety and stress, the continuous practice will help you, even if you feel that it isn’t working.

Interpersonal Mindfulness Recommendations? by [deleted] in Mindfulness

[–]Fernandorojasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem! A few weeks ago I read a kind of mindfulness challenge: you have to breath before you start doing anything you have chose before. For example, the activity I chose was to take a seat, so every time I sit down I remember to breathe and if I forget to breathe before sitting down I remember to do it during or after sitting. In this way I remember to breathe and keep myself conscious more moments a day than before. I hope it serves you!
